Don't you understand what DYOR means?

I do not see why I should spoon-feed you.

DYOR = Do Your Own Research.

If you don't want to give advice, why post on a thread asking for advice? Seems peculiar to me.

If I had to give a single piece of advice it would be to diversify.

Even the rocket scientists at the hedge funds discovered to their cost. That using to correlation to eradicate risk doesn't work. If all factors are pointing in the same direction there's absolutely nothing you do to protect your position from heading downwards.

I've just realised, this bulldog/Dunkirk spirit was spouted by a BTL landlord, the 'backbone' of modern Britain. How repugnant.

In what way sir will you be doing your bit?
Physical labour of any kind perhaps?

Working hard, paying my tax (in my full time job), putting a roof over the heads of those less fortunate than me (in my part time job).

Its the least I can do (how about you, what's your job?).

I wouldn't accept it. I think all workers deserve recognition and just a thank you from David when its all over will suffice. You don't live in Lisbon do you?

Is your big secret about the end of the world flood related?

Are you in charge of putting the animals on an arc in pairs?

At least the animals don't resort to bribery; unlike the lapsed catholics :)

A 20 year bear currency and property market, bribery, lapsed catholics, the end of civilisation as we know it and a retired zoologist.

Cracked it! Are you living the Da Vinci code?

Now now, careful with the conclusions or you will start to sound like the poster who thinks my life must be a failure because I preach doom.

If I was living the DaVinci code I would have to keep telling myself that leaping out of a helicopter with just a raincoat as a parachute will provide a soft landing.

Dan Brown (tat author)/Gordon Brown(tat pm) Credit binge drives property to daft levels & oops.........yep, there is an analogy
