Who would finance such an operation ?

The BPA who seem to take your money for little else then you being able to print their emblem and gain EL to DVLA!

Councils pay for each arbitration so take a guess. lol.

Can we guess how many PPC's would offer to sign up ?
Maybe if the appeals system operated in a method of if the appeal is just then the PPC pays. If the appeal is unjust then maybe the appealant should be made to pay say a £10 surcharge?

So why do big out of town retail parks have PPCs when no one would be there other than to use the facilities?

Also why are the parking spaces so small, that a large car struggles to fit in to the bays?

And why do PPCs ticket large cars for taking up 2 spaces when the space is not big enough for their car and the rest of the car park is half empty, so therefore not driving any customers away?

The amount for overstaying would have to be suitably high enough to put people off doing it again. But also not to a level where people will not pay. Another diea would also be a strikes system where all vehicles spotted in contravention are stored on a central DB. After the 1st offence the RK details should be requested and a polite letter stating the vehicles was parked in a regulated area and that if the same were to happen in the futurue a £50 ticket would be issued. This would then do two things it would inform the RK that the site is controlled so they could not say they were unaware. It would also inform them in writing that the consequence is a £50 WAY TOO HIGH ticket. and thirdly it would in theory let them off the first time.
The second time they should be applied with the ticket as agreed or a second warning notice stuck to the vehicle. The third time would reuslt int he ticket and there is no way on earth peple could argue this system would be unfair.

Another option is to write to the RK and inform them that their vehicle is not welcome onto the site and then they would be awarenot to come onto the site if they were repeat offenders.

Decentish ideas, however dont forget the RK isnt always the driver !
I drive a company vehicle so RK is not me.

Dont take this as a personal attack but please check your spelling as its making you look daft. We are not all perfect - me included just give it a once over before posting ;)

The same BPA who are recognised as being the only trade body. They are now required for some council contracts for enforcement and car park management.

I personally would rather take on P+D Sites and manage sites than i would do enforcement but this is a means to an end so to speak.

Tickets are pieces of paper/card with detials on them. at tesco/asda/insetsuprermakertname you get a ticket for the fish counter.
Its just a common term to describe the item.
Any tickets i issue are tickets that i feel are fairly issued for contravention of the terms and conditions of a site.
This includes ensuring people are made awar eof the contract (or making reasonable eofforts to inform people)

OK, 'ticket' is just a convenient word. You don't explain why I would pay a 'ticket' though (especially when I know it ain't enforceable)?

How would you prove who the driver is? On occasion my better half uses my motor to do the shopping, who would you charge (and how would you know who to charge)?

The standard size of a normal car park is 2.4M X 4.8M with a 1.2m egress either side on a disabled bay.

see the previous messages about taking 2 spaces for your reply.

Why should anyone pay private citizens working for private company's anything at all?
  • Are we right to believe just what you get from the BPA for your money?

    Nil.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Tough luck to me then hey ?

The contract is formed with the driver if you are not the driver then unlucky for me.

People will pay tickets on the term that they know they have done wrong.
