I am really pleased to see that there is quite a few of us that will be looking to use the Wii for weigth loss :), hopefully we can all help keep each other motivated during the weeks and months to come!

I am working tomorrow so will use the LCD scales we have there to weigh myself and will probably make Wednesday my weigh in day. I am not doing a specific diet, I pretty much know where my faults are so I just need to eat less rubbish/carbs and more fruit! I should hopefully be picking my Wii up tomorrow night after work so should be able to get up and running from Thursday.

I figure I have 19 and a half weeks left, if I managed to lose 2lb a week that would be a loss of 39 lbs (just under 3 stone). Although short I am not a 'small' build so will never be a size 10 but would be happy with a toned 14 at the moment :rotfl:. To up the anti I am going to purchase a fabric tape measure and do my measurements every 2 weeks, I know from previous attempts that sometimes you might only lose 1lb but lose inches from toning.

I will update with my january target tomorrow once I have my starting weight :j

Well done lors on your weight loss! I know you are right about the gym but I feel self concious and lack the motivation to ever actually go there so I am hoping the Wii will help!

Right I have just weighed myself and am a shocking 198.6 lbs . That isn't far off my highest ever weight so I am definately doing the right thing!

My overall target is to lose 3 stone (42 lbs) before 15th of May, my target for January is going to be 8lbs, I hope to actually lose over 10 but I will start my targets low so I don't get upset if I don't lose that much.

Off to get the Wii tonight :T

hi all, I'd like to join in too. Technically I'm not overweight (but only just!) but I've put on about a stone and a quarter over the last year or so and would rather go back to the weight I was, which I had been for many years! Even if I don't lose much weight I'd rather tone up a bit since I'm now 12/14 instead of 10/12 (not exactly huge I know). I've just got my own wii & wii fit plus bundle for Christmas, which will stay set up at my mums for now as my housemate has one that I use in my rented place. I really got into it over the summer but then fell off the wagon when I went back to uni, I've now quit uni so have plenty of free time till I get a job :) Will aim to do at least 30 mins each day and will hopefully get back into swimming when the weather's a bit better. I'll be eating more healthily when I go back to my own place after New Year as mum likes to feed me up when I'm at home :D

Welcome along everyone else, the more the merrier!

Unfortunately I am not off to a good start here as I went to collect my Wii and it isn't there , not amused! I am hoping it will be there tomorrow.

I did take the opportunity to buy lots of healthy fresh fruit, veg and low fat yoghurt though so no excuses for snacking on naughty things! :rotfl:

jtr I hope mine is there tomorrow, its a 30 mile round trip! It said it would be there by 4pm today but as we have visitors I opted to go in the morning. Can't wait to get started although grandaughter is here with her Just Dance so I guess that will be the first thing to do, I was cream crackered on Christmas day when she got me doing it lol.

I have had 2 really good days healthy eating and I must say I feel better being in control of my eating, DH got weighed this morning and is joining me with the weight loss routine too, so that will make it easier for meal times just have to give him a bit more than me.

Todays food 2 sl ww bread & 1 light cheese triangle- H/M Veg Soup with lentils.- Jacket Potato with Tuna & sweetcorn, salad and 0% greek yogurt (instead of mayo) sugar free jelly & oranges- Snacks, Banana, Apple, 2 Satsumas- 3/4 pt semi skimmed milk . Yesterday was similar and tomorrow will be a cooked dinner with lots of veggies.

Hope you have all had a good day too :)
  • evening peeps! havent been able to get the Wii to work, will have to get the o/h to have a look at it - am bit of a technophobe! however i have just spent 45 mins walking the mad spaniel at a brisk pace, normally would only get a quick 10mins daunder for last wee at this time of night. Eating not been that great today - stressful at work and thats when i hit the sweet things for a sugar rush but did have 3 satsumas in my bag and did think twice about what went into my gob, so thats a start!

jtr - that's a bummer about your wii - when do they expect it to be there?
noticed mrt's had quite a few of the WW meals on for £1, any ideas how many points you are supposed to have in a day - is it about 22? so long since i did WW,

just did 42 mins on the wii fit, burned off 116 calories (equivalent to a portion of luncheon meat :lipsrseal) and got better at slalom skiing! Didn't fancy doing too much cardio at this time of night, so mostly did balance and training plus.

Am I the only one who finds the muscle and yoga sections really boring and like you're not doing anything??

Skintbint my score is 20points so I am trying a max of 18 points, I know from the past I get a weight loss from having 16-18 per day, the minimum is 14. I am 55, 5`5 and 13st 5lb:eek::eek: my gold weight is 10st 13lb.

I am definately a technophobe and would struggle getting it out of the box :rotfl: I always think its better to leave techie stuff to the DH.

WW meals were 4 for £5 in Asda yesterday, I have bought some for those times of desperation when you are hungry and dont fancy cooking, I really prefer to cook myself cos you get more on your plate for the same points;)
