now if i plug everything in as it is in my old tv(well nearly as old tv only has one scart) will it set itself up? also i have a humax recorder box to plug in so wont need the freeview in the tv. will i have to do anything different? one more, lol, i have a yellow ethernet cable is that what i connect wireless box to tv to watch i player etc
thankyou and sorry for being daft

If you purchased the Sony, here's a couple of points to consider if you have not considered them already.

Does your Humax box have HDMI connections? ... If so you would do better to use a HDMI cable between Humax and TV. Just buy a cheapo one such as ... http://www.amazon.co.uk/1-8M-HDMI-Cable-Gold-Connectors/dp/B0017RW94A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1294526296&sr=8-2 ... Those in the know will tell you to ignore the hype over needing high end, high priced HDMI cables.

Does your Humax box have Freeview HD? ... The Sony has Freeview HD which provides superior picture quality where HD is available.

    :)

thankyou, i will look to see about the hdmi on the hummy. no it is just normal freeview. so will i be able to switch to watch hd freeview easily if im set up through the humax? i think we get some channels come in this year.
also if im using scarts, and there is 2 in the back of the tv, i need 3,i use a splitter at the moment as old tv only has 1 socket. which 2 are best in the tv. i have tv,humax and dvd player to plug in
    thankyou very much
