It's especially a good deal for anyone looking for a 32" TV given that it's £299 delivered with a 5 year warranty. The MSE Dictionary

No, I actually found it whilst looking on John Lewis website - I don't even visit HDUK! Cheek!0 -
have they not just got the 37inch(£499) and 40inch(£399) inch prices mixed up?

Try putting Offer of the day dot co.uk into your posting and see what comes up...... think you'll find it is this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - hence the reason for editing!
I found it on Offer of the day, which then transferred me through to the John Lewis Website......... just because certain people here go onto HDUK it doesn't mean we all do - we are all literate enough to use search engines you know!0 -

No, I think they are price matching Play & Amazon. I ideally was looking for a 37 inch for my in-laws but we decided to go for the 40 inch because it was cheaper.0 -
Though this looks like a bargain, please be aware this tv is only 50hz. This means the picture has lag - especially noticeable during panning shots / sport / movies for example.
We looked at the Sony 403u series and ended up going for an LG instead - 100hz and much better 'to life' colours. My Dad did the same in Richer sounds yesterday too (it's also on offer there)
Anyone buying a tv, do go and look at then side by side, with the same HD programme or film playing on them - don't just trust the Sony badge!0
