Ooh Maxonian you have reminded me - I have bought a new diary and I too am going to write all my lists in it
Hopefully this will keep me on track a bit better in 2011
Looking forward to Sunday for the new list now
Thank you hunny x
Jen xThat made me laugh! And sorry to hear about the landlord.
Dusty - I will investigate a course for the sewing machine although I have the attention span of a gnat these days.
I treated myself to a fliofax yesterday, so that i dont have to have different notebooks for different lists. i shall make 'sewing' my first entry.
Flipping heck - cat number 1 has just done a massive belch :TEverything happens for a reason0 -
Sorry to vent guys but i have nowhere else to turn.
It is my Birthday on 4th Jan i am 40 and i am going on holiday (a present) just me and my fella. Jake was going to stay at his dads for a week and he has just told me that he is not having him now. Its too late to sort a passport out for Jake and if i cancel i lose all the money.
My mum can help out but she is not well.
He says i am an unfit mother and i don't care about my son which is not right.
Anyone have any suggestions. Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -
Lame Wolf - such sad, tragic news about the pub landlord.
Hex - ouch for both the car and the bruise. And yes, if you're having the gear box out, you might as well have the clutch done too - the gearbox needs to be hooked out to do that. But, get an estimate and see if it's actually cost effective...
Vanilla - I think you're great for being so supportive to your husband and I hope he manages to get a routine
Toots - you stay in bed and look after that chest of yoursxxx
Trikes - hope your chest clears up soon and your DD's bunions are fixed v. quick and successfully
Helen Jelly - glad Dad seems to be on the mend - hope the Big Stone fixes itself...
Boddy - I quite understand you wanting to take the decs down - big hugs, it's a tough time for you xxx
Quillion - horrible news! Do you think it may be a spite think? You're welcome to send the little one down here for the duration - I'll look after him. But are you sure it's too late to get a passport organised? Could you get to a main passport office tomorrow to sort one? I remember a long drive to Newport to get DS's sorted out at short notice a year or so ago...
Well, after the aborted get-together scheduled for this afternoon, I've spent the day writing AGAIN. It hasn't helped that the weather has been grey and gloopy AGAIN. Hey ho, tomorrow is another day....
DS has come over (DiL is working) and I'll feed him - chips and home grown fried eggs - he's poo-pooing the idea of my wonderful turkey, ham and marrowfat pea soup which is simmering on the hob. It's quite nice really - we're both sitting at opposite ends of the kitchen table with our laptops working on our private projects together.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

No suggestions unfortunately but you can have a big hug, what a nightmare.
Why is he no longer having Jake? How old is Jake?
Jake is just as much his dads responsibility as he is yours. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Well as Soappie said you could have a mad dash tomorrow to try and get a passport?
Or, instead of losing your money, you could probably pay a small amount to 'move' the holiday. I know it's not the same as being away for your 40th, but at least you won't lose your money.
Failing that, send Jake to Piggers - she won't notice one more
More importantly - don't react to KH! Hugs xYesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
That's why we call it 'The Present'0 -
Ooh sorry if I'm speaking out of turn but what a childish, horrible git he's being!
I also would happily have Jake but you don't know me and neither does your boy so wouldn't be fair to him x
If it were me I would do what somebody else suggested and try and sort out a passport. Then I would take my boy with me and have the most fantastic holiday possible, take tons of photos and when I came back I would show off all my fab photos and brag it to the hilt to him over what an amazing time we had
Hope you find your solution hunny and have the best birthday and holiday ever x

Well, the visit to the GP went really well. I showed her my list with all my thoughts/feelings on and she didn't turn a hair - it's all classic depression. She's changed me to a different antidepressant, reassured me everything is perfectly normal, and I'm to go and see her the week after next. She reassured me everything will be fine and was genuinely lovely. DH was in with me and is being so supportive - I really am very lucky.
Kids in bed, I'm about to sit down and knit some more.
Quillon, so sorry to hear your ex is being such an idiot. Hope you can resolve this. Big hugs xxFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
