Hi all
Well, now that I've hoovered up the myriad dog-biscuit crumbs, all of today's list that is relevant here is now done. Max went home at quarter to three; we're dogless tonight (will take the opportunity to do a towel wash on cheap(er) leccy), then Benjy will be here around lunchtime tomorrow.
Toots and Triker and anyone else with lurgies and whatnot, take care of yourselves, stay in the warm and get rid of the nasty germs.
Helen hopefully your Dad will start to recover now; sounds most unpleasant for him, but here's hoping he's on the road to better health.
Aunty Jenny:D congratulations - good to hear of a safe arrival.
Mr LW and I first heard about the stabbing at the pub yesterday - apparently some bod from one of the local rags rang the local CAMRA chairman to see if he knew any details (not sure why they'd think he would, but hey ho), so he'd mentioned it on the active members' e-list, in case anyone else got contacted (we used to be on the committee, so our contact details would be in back issues of "Beer Moos") but it wasn't certain then who the victim was. It's a real shock - Jaime was a really nice chap, and a superb cellarman; he and Emma were always happy to welcome well-behaved dogs into the pub, too. I dare say more details will emerge in the fullness of time; but what a horrible end to the year!:(
I can't remember what's supposed to be for dins tonight, so I'm off to consult the meal plan spreadsheet now.:o
ETA It's jacket spuds with cheese.:drool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

For all of you waiting with baited breath here is the latest news re; Dad
He did have some stones removed but 1 was too big! The stent has been put in to bypass that stone, a small section of the gall bladder was removed for testing and if there is anything wrong with it they will remove the Gall Bladder, bile was also removed. If he is ok over the next couple of days he will be able to come home providing he does a bit of walking about when home to up his blood pressure [DS is already planning a round of Golf lol] He also has to have follow up App's with his Doc - he WILL NOT be seeing the Doc he was seeing before!!!!
Once again THANK YOU to all who have thought of him, myself and our family over these last 2 weeks - your support has been invaluable to me.
