An almost belated birthday wishes for Pigpen!

I'm in this week. You ladies and your lists have kept me sane for December, so far, and to be honest the heat is off now, phew! I have never been so organized and in control - oh joy! I will try to keep up with the list this week, but children and DH at home so may have to down play housework some what.

Will have to look at my ironing/put it on and forget it wasn't ironed pile as the Scottish ironing challenge is looming!

Off to bed late after decluttering the last of the HM sloe vodka and a film. Hugs and spoons to all.

I thought you all deserved a day off given I have been a slave driver the last few weeks to make you whip the house into shape and the added pressure of the ironing and Natty's challenges..

I've had a reasonable day thanks.. fairly busy.. done more today than in the last week lol.. DS had to go home when Jacob was exhausted.. Freja NEEDED her bed and the Rock Band was driving me to distraction... Another year of not going out on my birthday!!! Oh well....

The girls room needs a major reshuffle to fit all their stuff in.. but it will wait until they are back at school.

Cats are driving me crazy constantly running about.. and Peaches trying to eat everything in sight and constantly crying for food.. she is such a pig!!!

    Bother.. baby bellowing...

    Happy Birthday Pigpen

I'm in again - need to do some clearing up tomorrow - just DS and me as DD is at her Dads and DH has to work. We have had a fantastic Christmas, decent winter weather [cold but sunny], lovely family Xmas day, lovely food and cracking pressies and the kiddies behaved wonderfully - couldn't ask for more!! DH bought me a Kindle but for the love of me I can't get the bloomin thing to work/connect so if it can't be sorted tomorrow then it may go back - Amazon Kindle people are phoning me to try to get it sorted - been on the phone to them for ages but they tried so hard to get it to work!! Good customer service from them, just a shame it won't work, DH is gutted about it.

Love and hugs to all - especially Toots

    Helen

PS thanks to the ladies for the thread

  • I haven't been in here for ageeeeeessss but things are getting me down around the house and I really need to find the motivation to get up and running again, so here I am looking for a virtual helping hand to start 2011 as I mean to go on!
Trying to make a better life.... If you need me you'll find me at the allotment.
  • Thank you to FLC! Am loving tomorrow's achievement list :) Who would have believed it though. My home actually still looks half way presentable all thanks to the FL lists so no apologies over previous lists allowed Pigpen It looks like this because of FLC!!!!
Just had a long long talk with DD1 re her Occupational Therapy degree, which she is loving and doing well in. Her interest is in people with dementia and that is where she wants to work in the future, however she's having a few problems with her (self motivated) CPD. She's trying to learn BSL as she works part time in a care home and has several clients who can only sign using this method. She's eager to learn, the care home would pay for her training, but she's finding it difficult to find a class. Aberdeen deaf society haven't been responding to e-mails (their website is being updated) and I wondered if anyone locally had any contacts that would help her?

Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.
