  • I have totally given up on Noah's Ark for the time being as I can't do anything else without my new frame. But this is how it looks at the moment. First time I've tried to post a photo so I'm hoping it works!

I've finally got the rocket out ready to start. I keep meaning to get started every day, but never get round to it. Today is the day though!

Apocasaver - The ark looks great. First time I have seen a cut thru really close up, think I will deffo need to get one done at some point :T

Re. the cut thru's - the backstitch looks really detailed - can someone tell me if it's all done only using the holes in the fabric, or if some of it has to pierce through the 'squares' (am I making sense here?)

Was up late last night watching National treasure 2, so got a bit more of Touched by magic done. It's not really gripping me though, I think I have lost my 'oomph' on this one :(

They are here - I just took in a parcel for next door. :)

14ct aida is the same as 28ct linen so for 25ct I guess 12ct aida would be the closest, but not ideal. I always think of that as the stuff kids use though - lol:o

If you want to use 14ct then go ahead - try using this calculator to enter the dimensions and it will tell you what size fabric you need to order:

yea cheers *louise* I'll keep my eye out - tho health and safety he prob can't walk up my road in the ice!!
Had a quick glance at princess palace cut thro and it looks as if the backstitch is all 'hole to hole' which suits me just fineeee i HATE having to break thro the fabric and normally try and alter it to make it hole to hole.

On Noah's Ark there is a lot of piercing through the fabric, I had to swap to a pointier needle to get it done. I didn't actually hate backstitching as much on this as I usually do though, as it really seemed to make the picture look detailed.
