Hmm, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong, I can't see any pictures of any SAL cut thru's on there?

If I can get to my ex mother in laws sometime I will take a photo a 12"x36" family tree I made for her when she was 70. It was just her name and her husbands name (he died before I knew him) and all her children - all 10 of them  - their partners names, their kids and if the kids had kids (at that time). I designed it all myself - still have the drawings (they got saved from the fire). It was funny her birthday was Jan 12 (00) and couldn't do any stitching till 23 dec (99) as a new baby was born then. I remember reading in some of the previous posts about some family history stuff.

That sounds original, I'd like to see that. It must be lovely for someone to receive something that personalised. You must be very skilled to design your own things, I can only follow charts!

Am always looking for other kits, and have just spotted "Rainbow Peacock" found it for $19.99 & $8 dollars shipping (so about £18) on an american site (can I say which one it is?) - on uk sites its £25 & over & postage on top, so am thinking of buying it from the US with the last of my xmas cash!

Do you mean this kit? http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Rainbow-Peacock__JCA-EW02193.aspx

I see these in Cross Stitcher Magazine and a new one will be realeased each month and you have to be a subscriber, can't remember as I am at work but I think we are on letter F so will have to wait a few  more months to collect the whole set. To save buying magazine just for them, I am a subscriber (and I guess a few of the other girls are) and I can download them from Craft Circle, but only the ones that have appeared in the magazine will be able for download - message from cross stitcher magazine says this -

Download Emily Peacocks Circus ABC from the Crafts Circle

    circus_abc_new.jpg

If you're a subscriber, you'll have noticed we've started a brand new series of exclusive charts from Emily Peacock called Circus ABC.

We started the collection in issue 230 (which came out last month AugorSep10) but don't worry if you've only just subscribed because we'll be putting every single letter month-by-month onto theCrafts Circle.

That way you can easily download them, even after they've been released! We're nice like that you see...

    Extra Note

It's due to start in issue 230, which goes on sale on Thursday 12th August 2009. Each month after that we'll be bringing you a new letter from her funky alphabet for you to collect and enjoy. Plus, keep a look out for other circus inspired charts we'll be bringing you along the way.
These letters are wonderfully on-trend and super colourful and quite frankly that's enough to win us over

Hope that helps, surprised people selling copies (not actual magazine entries) in Ebay - didn't think you could do that re copyright etc. I know there is ;) but that is taking it a bit too far, or am I wrong.

Will try and get a photo soon! Its her 80th this weekend but she wanted no presents - only money for charity. There should be alot of family about so I will try soon next week maybe as it will be quieter then. (stop me seeing alot of my late husbands family as they are not too keen on me now - been funny with me since he died), was it because I remarried? I don't know but I was part of their family for near 20 years!

    Kind wishes

No, unfortunately you can't make subsets within groups.

What you could do is either
    • start a new group just for the Cut thru SAL (messy in my opinion because it wouldn't be linked to the main group) or
    • post a discussion thread in the main Flickr group and copy the SAL pictures into that thread so that they're kept together
What do people think? Anyone who's a member of the Flickr group can start a discussion topic and while it might get a bit disjointed chatting on two sites at once I think if you kept it to chatting about the SAL and update photos it would work really well.

I'm happy to start up a couple of threads within the group if that's how people want to do it. We could maybe have one for the monthly challenges as well?
