Brillo, free kits on the mags, makes investing in the mag really worthwhile, as it is I try to do everything on the cheap, mainly with the help of Google, for free patterns, and ||Ebay for fabric and thread.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Louise - would it be possible for a
;) of the RM Wedding sampler as my stitchy friend is getting married this year (I'm very choosy about who I stitch for as I couldn't bear spending all that time stitching and then the recipient being ungrateful!!) :rotfl:
Send me your email
I know what you mean about possibly being ungrateful....I'm glad that since it's my brother, if he doesn't appear grateful I can kick his !!! (metaphorically speaking since he is 6'7) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Kinda wishing I hadn't bothered now...his wife-to-be is causing some bother in the family atm with wedding arrangements. I'm going to put it down to being a bridezilla at the moment and give her the benefit of the doubt. morning all lovely pictures everyone, still havent spent my xmas money every time i try to i have to go of and do some thing else lol but off to have a look at sew and so and accross town nowThey are all pretty easy to wash out, I usually buy this one:
http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Fabric-Marker---Wipe-Off__HAN-H295.aspx
or there are ones on ebay which are just as good. I tend to avoid the vanishing marker pens as I can't be bothered recounting and remarking the squares every day
im so dim i brought one of these that vanishes and it was really annoying me because it kept disappearing half way through a sewing session and i would have to draw the lines on again wasting valuable sewing time, never occured to me to get a washing out one DUH!! better add that to my list

oh, and i'm all the way over just outside Kettering and my fiance works in Corby!(i love most of what they're doing to re-vamp Corby, it's a better place to shop than Northampton now!)
Lol, Corby is a lot better than it was, certainly for shopsThe swimming pool is good too. It's still a total dive to live in though, we were supposed to be leaving next week but the move fell through so we're stuck here for now!
Is that little stitching shop in Kettering still open? Haven't been there in ages, and it was quite expensive, but it seems to be the nearest place to get anything. Looks like I've persuaded hubby to make the trip to Coleman's on Saturday, so bargains here I come :jlovecrafting wrote: »yay my cut thru finally arrived, i will start it today after i have sorted the housework and got the kids to school. ohhh im all exited yay
I'll be starting the SAL today too. I had to re-buy my rocket kit (thanks mum's dog for lunching on the chart!), but it came within 24 hours so I was pleased to get it so fast. Still no frame, meaning I'm going to have to start the rocket without finishing Noah's Ark. I should wait, but I can't spend any longer without stitching, it's making me crazy!!

Noah's Ark has taken me nearly 6 months (although I didn't stitch at all for 3 months, so not too bad). I'm giving myself until my son's birthday in July to finish the rocket as I want to get on with a couple of other projects at the same time. I'm hoping i will finish quicker than that though!0 -
If my lighthouse turns up today, I will be bringing it to work to do at lunchtimes

Hello AllWedding picture:
Day 6
Next project coming up.....:j:j
Nice, elegant design - a classic that will never date - I really like it.Thanks - I like his designs - are they like these though, because I have the ones which were with Crosstitcher/World of Xstitch mags
There are 2 other designs to match this one
But if they are different I would be glad of a:T
I have done this one many years ago for a friend who is into art noveau/rennie mackintosh (I love it too). When I was tidying up I found a bag with all the threads for it (anchor) and them threaded on to card ready to stitch again - I am at work but if I remember it also had the issue number wrote on it.
Talking of babies etc why not design one of your own like I did when my grand nephew was born -
Was at the supermarket last night and treated myself to this -
It is from the magazine the world of cross stitching issue 172. I thought it was great as I was needing a wee diary and I do enjoy all our yesterdays (used one years ago for a birth sampler - same idea as above used a wee girl and the details beside her). Bonus you get 12 AOY patterns in the diary.
If I can get to my ex mother in laws sometime I will take a photo a 12"x36" family tree I made for her when she was 70. It was just her name and her husbands name (he died before I knew him) and all her children - all 10 of them  - their partners names, their kids and if the kids had kids (at that time). I designed it all myself - still have the drawings (they got saved from the fire). It was funny her birthday was Jan 12 (00) and couldn't do any stitching till 23 dec (99) as a new baby was born then. I remember reading in some of the previous posts about some family history stuff.
I am feeling a little better - I am now back at work. Think I will continue with my tidy up and start some stitching soon - seeing all your work on here has made me think and miss it. Glad you liked the wee picture of me and Sam - don't thinks she has forgiven me for the hoodie. Was funny last night - I was removing some nail polish and she came for a nose and her nose got put right out of joint - she didn't like it one bit. Serves her right for being so nosey - she is a nosey wee thing - any bags that come in to house (plastic or other wise) she has to have a look at what is inside them. Same with bins, she will tip them over to have a look in them too :rotfl:
Well better get on with some work, thank you all for your kindness - it is appreciated.
Take care where ever you are
