First off - I've already had to soak out the washable pen lines (because I marked one square up as 10 x 11 by mistake and of course that messed up the rest of the marking....
Now I'm getting frustrated because there are lots of similar symbols and it's very difficult to tell some of them apart. I've already had to unpick several sections. One part has been unpicked three times....(I must have had a brain-fart!).
Surely they don't need to use identical (but different sized) symbols...surely there are more than enough to have 55 different ones?! I've been cross-stitching for 20 years and I don't recall getting this frustrated with a kit before.
Quoting myself. It's the start of a long, slippery slope...
Anyway - Result! :T
Michael Powell has personally responded to my email of mild complaint and agreed that this is an issue - he says it was raised some time ago and that they redesigned the chart. The fact that mine's been sat in the cupboard for ::koffs:: a number of years can't have helped..:o
New chart will be in the post soon. How's that for service? :j0 -
mags glad you got a result on the chart

Been keeping up with the chat but not posting.
Had fouth treatment last week which knocked me out for days, nausea, sickness, no sleep, the works.
Missed my parents Golden Wedding Do at the weekend which I was really upset about but no way could I travel for an hour each way on Saturday.
Managed about an hour of stitching last night but my fingers are so numb and my nails so sore I struggle holding the needle.
Might have to trawl through my stash and see if I have anything on a large count that I can manage.
Took 'too pooped' and 'red crockery' to the framers at lunchtime (30 second walk from the office!) so really excited about getting them back and up on the walls next week. Sorry this one's been hard Biker... as long as the Chemo's doing it's work it'll be worth it though xxx Have you found anything which helps the horrible symptoms?
I would love to see Too Pooped framed. I too have done it, and I can't decide how to finish it off..
Hugs hunxxx

I was going to buy a frame stand this month but my starter motor has gone on my car so I'll have to spend at least £100 on it instead :mad::mad:0

Cross stitch and lots of painkillers helped with the first three, but this one and the next two are different and notorious for making you feel icky
Really excited about Too Pooped aswell. Dread to think how much it'll cost as I've chosen a double mount in coffee and chocolate colours and a dark wood frame to match the lounge. Got £50 cashback from Quidco yesterday for my already incredibly cheap home insurance so will use that :money:Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Biker - sorry to hear it's been so hard this time (((hugs))) How long until your next session? My Dad goes in on Monday for a fortnight of chemo, he is dreading all the side effects you listed
Hope you feel better soon x
Btw, look forward to seeing your framed pictures - did they not quote you a price when you dropped them off? I'm not sure I would like that sort of 'surprise' when I picked them up lol.
Soulie - now see what you made me do....;);):rotfl: I started looking at other Corrie kits and have decided that I'm going to do this one for my aunt's christmas:
