I've used the ones that I got free with a magazine once and they were rubbish. Maybe the bought ones are better though...

I've got one attached to the stand and I think it is great. When I am going to a holiday I am taking it with me with the frame (leaving stand behind).

Today has been one of those days where I have got home and not known whether to laugh or cry. Its just been one of those days :( and I think I could quite happily have got home and gone straight to bed! I left work nearly 4 hours ago and I still feel stressed about it! anyway, quick post here then off to stitch and hopefully calm down before bed !!

to answer someone's post, I recently bought this board with a gift token I got and I really like it. I actually use this board for stitching while on the move (I removed the bit that makes it stands up). At the moment, I'm stitching the mouseloft xmas card kits so I stick the chart to the board with the magnets and then use the firmness of the board to colour in the chart as I go along (i always make mistakes if I don't colour in the chart).

Pleased to see the prizes turned up chicky :j at last :D Hopefully the other parcel will turn up too and we can have double the stuff for the charity :j

Umm I don't think I have much else to say - I caught up with all the posts but forgotton already - so tired. so hugs all, happy stitching, I'm off to find my stitching and watch the cricket highlights. I might even have to wander into the kitchen for some wine :rotfl:

Back from a few days holiday in Dorset. You've been very chatty since I went away - 5 days and over 5 pages of catching up.

chicky - glad the parcel has eventually arrived and I think it is only fair that you have the Noah kit.

23rd - what a great idea adding the dalek to flickr that way you wont lose the pattern whilst stitching, how clever of you. Thank you for sharing your clever method.

Not sure if anyone will remember my ramblings of a few weeks ago when I said that I thought I had thrown out part of a tiger kit that my mum was stitching for my dad when she died. Anyway, good news, whilst sorting out the bedroom I found all of the kit. In fact I have found 2 pieces of aida both with the tiger started on it. My plan at the moment is to finish one for my dad and the other for my son.

Will try to post a photo soon but can't access flickr at the moment for some reason.

Managed to sign in to flickr (followed a link from 23rd).

Here's the picture of how far my mum got with the picture.

Bless her she had used 3 strands of floss where 2 should have been used and full stitches where half should have been - I have no intention of unpicking any of it. It's been hard trying to find where things matched up but I think I've cracked it. I've gone back to 2 strands so will be able to see what was my mums work and what is mine, actually pleased about that.

Here's a picture of the finished design.

Going to try to get some stitching done now before bed.

Ohhh I was seaching on there (which made me pick back up my stitching ;)) and there are loads of designs (as pdf) I want to sticth. They are very simple and very cheap but was wondering if any had used them before. I am thinking definatly of this doctor who one, this tree bird and finally this for the family christmas cards. And if I had kids there are some lovely disney inspired ones...

Thank you for that Doctor Who link, another one added to my 'wish list' :D

Thank goodness the parcel has arrived at last after all the hassle you've had chicky. You certainly deserve the sampler - it has your name on it (well Noah's anyway) :rotfl:Hope everyone gets what they are hoping for and you get a nice little sum for charity into the bargain. Well done you :T

Hope you're feeling a bit better today Flat Eric :)

Love your little reindeer PAP - he is soooo sweet. Getting a bit nervous with a this christmas stuff going on mind you :D

Hope everyone is ok (no stitching for me yesterday)
