I've done that Titanic pic-probably told you before! We went to the Titanic exhibit at the O2 on Thursday. Very moving & I've now touched part of titanics hull. How amazing is that???

That sounds amazing Ruth_honey might try and get a visit in next time I visit the inlaws (if the exhibition is still there). I didn't realise you'd done Titanic too! I'm feeling that i'm going to be lost when i've finished it as i've been working on it on and off for my entire adult life!!! Think that's partly why I keep putting it down for a bit and doing other things!

Mags_cat glad you've got the Autumn pic finished. There's nothing worse than working on something you don't like is there?

Nykied I wouldn't fret about what your friends said. When I was younger I used to be a size 6 and people said the same to me. When you're metabolism finally slows down (like mine!) you'll start to fill out! hope that doesnt sound too weird. Sending you hugs - can't find the smiley :)

As much as I want to go outside I think i'm going to put the end of the cricket on and stitch. Went outside yesterday afternoon and just got pestered by the kids next door. When I pretended to be asleep the little lad threw a clump of soil over the fence at my face so I can't even ignore them. The parents don't do anything other than send them outside either so don't think i'll get any peace for the next 6 weeks :(

    You've got just over a month. http://www.theo2.co.uk/inside/titanic-the-artefact-exhibition.html
You can get 2-4-1 tickets with Days out Guide website if you travel by train (inc one day travelcards issued at national rail stations) or cash in Tesco vouchers for entry.
It took me about 3 1/2 years to stitch my Titanic, if I remember correctly. And that was in a stitch-a-long to spur me on. It looks great, though. I had it professionally framed & it hangs in my living room. I'll find a pic...

Nykied, our old garden was a tiny open space with only a fence on one side... With paths on the other three, so felt so exposed and had to talk to anyone else out there. I don't know your garden layout but I know how horrible it is to not be able to enjoy being outside. So thinking outside the box, could u get a beach windbreak? Or one of those half tents for sun protection? Or even just put up a tent facing the other way? Or even a gazebo with a side wall? Pretending to be asleep isn't foo good... If u had Some thing to hide behind properly they might give up after getting no reaction after a while. I've seen all at my local tip before. Thinking of you.

Hello...sorry for not posting for a bit but everyones pics are looking great

ejs2311 I have the same problem, I have noisy neighbours (especially the adults!) and hate the fact that i only get to go in the garden at a weekend when they are at their worst...mine are very nosy too so everytime I step out my back door they are there puffing away on their cigarettes having a good look at what I'm doing! So I've decided to let my hedge grow so I can block them out, its gone up a foot in height already this summer! :j

stitching wise I'm very disappointed with sew & so, if you remember I'm stitching the snowman friends banner (sorry cant find lead for my camera) anyhow I ordered and paid for the carrot noses for the snowmen from sew&so's materials list on 30/06/11 and they finally turned up on saturday as they were out of stock....thing is they are far too big for the design and after waiting all this time I've had to send them back for a refund!

Now I know on the site they say they have substituted one make for another but FGS why pick some that are too big :( and the ones on design dont have a green carrot top and the ones sew & so are selling do. ...now feel only solution is to order them from stoney creek in the usa...works out about £3 dearer but at least its the actual embellishments for that particular design and i know they will be the right size!

    ok rant over! :rotfl:

TMIF - that looks fantastic!!! So does your Titanic RH. :T

I am plodding on with the page one of the wolves, I am shortly getting to the fiddly bit so might not progress as fast as so far. Update piccie when one page is finished. I got the horses today - that was quick (must go and give good feedback...) I am sooo excited :j I think I will get one of those coffee mugs that say: I'd rather be cross stitching, don't know what they would think about that at work :rotfl:

Sorry for editing your post so much. Just wanted to suggest trying The Nimble Thimble for the buttons. She might have stock or can order them in. She specialises in American cross stitch so it's the best place I can think of that is in the UK. Number is 01691 780088.
