I just KNOW i will be in tears soon and not be able to see it properly... but on the other hand I can't just sit and watch a film and my farm doesn't need tending to until tomorrow. ohh dilema!!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. I've got the book but not got round to reading it. I needed somthing nice to read after the Sarah Payne? and Jessica Wells ... no it was Holly wasn't it..... oh you know who I mean!! (it was abotu a year ago i ready it) story and it got buried at the back of the bookcase.
I think I might switch it off F.E. - it's too weird for me!! I think it could have been done a lot better, this is just strange.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

I've read 'The Lovely Bones' a few times and recorded the film last night. Might watch it tonight (will send the OH upstairs to X-Box).
Bit of an upset on Saturday night. Towards the end of the night, my friends all decided to tell me that I'm too skinny and that I look gaunt. They say that they're worried about me and that I should go to the doctor, as I managed to convince them that I'm not dieting/anorexic/bulimic. I've never been on a diet in my life and I eat more than anyone I know!
I'm trying to see it as them caring for me and worrying about me but my brain keeps screaming 'Gaunt! Gaunt!' and making me upset. Sorry to vent here, but I feel as though I know all of you.0 -
nykied hugs for you perhaps your friends meant well but certianly not the most tactful of people are they, if you feel well and are eating sensibly and feel healthy then you are just a naturally slim person blessed with a fast metabolism.
did some more sky over the weekend, cant decde if to do all of the sky - which means rollig the side im working on up in the frme and doing the other half or do i start the boat this side and complete this half of the picture first then move on to the other half
my other question is all the sky ive done so far is in half crossstitch when i move onto full crossstitches do i do the top or bottom of the cross the same way as the hlaves. my guessing the top so all the top threads are laying the same way but would aprechiate other peoples opinions before i start.
hope all are well and loving all the photos tht have been posted recentlySPC~12 ot 124

hugs nykied so long as you know there is nothing wrong I'd just ignore them, how mean.
Mrs M I *think* the bottom stitch would go the same way as the half stitch .... at least that's what I'd do.... if I remembered.....and if I was holding the material the right way round....loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I finally finished the brown-and-orange-fest-that-is-"Autumn-Reflections"! :j
I had time to stitch this weekend, for the first time in ages I wasn't running about like a mad thing so I managed to get Mum's Christmas present finished (even the backstitch - there was hardly any!).
So now I have that, the MP wedding sampler and two very old Winnie the Pooh kits to take to the framers.
Pictures when they get framed
So I spent Sunday afternoon prepping the MP Tenby Harbour kit. I have gridded my aida with soluble pen for the first time - gosh that was scary....drawing all over this very expensive fabric , sorted the threads and I got quite a lot of the first page's sky done - quick because it's half stitches.
The only problem I had was finding a suitable frame. I'm so used to the handheld, lightweight tubular ones that when I tried to fix it to a wooden scroll frame it just didn't feel right. It's a funny shape too - approx 3000 stitches across and only 1200 down. I've ended up with a tall thin tubular frame that lets me stitch an entire page at once with the (acres!) of excess aida rolled up and tied to the right hand side of the frame. Will have to keep moving it along as I go.
Finally! Colours that aren't shades of brown and orange! :rotfl:
Edited to add : Just seen the query about half stitches above. I do mine as the first half of the stitch - so for me that's bottom left to top right. I hadn't thought about the "lying the same way as all the other top stitches" thing...you've got me thinking now...0 -
Congrats to all those getting projects finished this past week :T
Here's my first progress pic of the Tiger, started 2 weeks ago.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
