    Hi wen-tom.

Lots of us use this site for threads http://www.across-town-stitching.talktalk.net/index.html They are very reasonable at 37p per skein for standard DMC & Anchor. They have an offers section which works out cheaper if you need 50 or more skeins.
Postage is very good also at £1 for orders up to £3, £1.50 for orders up to £20 and free if spending over £20.

Also just noticed this notice on their homepage....

Midnight 3rd January 2011 VAT prices are increasing to 20%. But we will be keeping our prices as they are and reviewing them at the end of February.

So fill yer boots ladies! :rotfl:

    Hope that helps :)

thanks bikerchick, i understand cut thru now ive seen the pictures in a different light, i thought it was some kind of technique where you cut pieces out of the fabric you were working on.

By the way have any of you seen either of these as just the charts rather than the full kits?

My friend is pregnant and mad on Teddy Ted so want to do one of these despite the back stitch :o

I use ebay, either West BBC, or Tax Free DMC...both cheap, authentic threads and super fast postage.

Brilliant, thanks for all the info :T I think a trip to Rushden is on the horizon for Saturday if I can convince hubby. I'm quite excited at the thought of the sale advertised on the Coleman's website!

:D you're welcome. the Coleman's warehouse is fab, and i've got bargains there even when there's no official sale on... however i hadnt noticed there was a sale! i really want to go now! but eek! my budget may be broken before it's begun!!:o (humm, we might not live to far apart!)
Checked the bank this morning, and after all the dd's are accounted for, I have 74p! Erk! The old me would bung it all on the credit card, but I guess I'd better not... Will sting !!!!!! for some money :)

good job this is a money saving site, perhaps there are some more ideas to help out there in the wider site? it's good you can ask !!!!!!, and good you have a credit card for if it's an emergency. good luck hun x

Lol, I really don't have extra money, but it does sound like there might be some good stuff at the weekend! I'm not very close, I'm all the way over in Corby, but it's worth the trip for serious bargains :)

ohhh I am soooo close to finishing stitch/ stash so i can come play in the SAL and **wooop wooop** my sewandso order has been dispatched so i have lots more projects on the way.

Hubby has gone out for a few hours (amazing how he is 'dying' but yet when his mate asks him if he wants to go to the pub he is well enough).

Just gonna go for a quick bath (what a boring waste of time when i have stitching to be doing) then into a warm bed to snuggle with stitching and holby city.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
