I am happy to use either DMC or Anchor as they can both be washed. The cheaper threads aren't as colourfast and may run if you need to wash yor finished piece. Although I will use them on cards that are smaller and don't need to be washed.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

I'm with the people saying stick to one company. I have DMC but I'd say choose DMC or Anchor and only buy their threads. You can get some pretty good thread conversion charts to find the colour in a different brand if your chart lists them in another brand from what you have. That way the threads are all colourfast and all the same thickness etc though.
I can't believe how fast this thread is moving at the moment, I don't seem to have time to keep up. Good thing I have the next 2 days off work to keep on top of it eh! I'm hoping to do some stitching too but I have tons of other things to do, including finishing installing the toilet, and if that has finally stopped leaking then I'll be installing the sink. I also have to listen to 5 CDs before the 21st in preperation for a course I'm doing.0 -

Help. I've lost my mojo. Not done any stitching since beginning of Nov before I went on holiday.
All I want to do is browse x-s websites looking for kit sales and clearance . I know it's not a crime but I've got a hamper full of kits upstairs as well as charts, so I really do not need any more.0 -

Ooooh thank you!!!! GREAT timing as I'll be in Swindon fri-mon. Emailed mum as she's the one who discovered that place & took me to it a few times. Hopefully she'll get chance to check out the sale before she goes to Goa in a week or so. I'm kinda hoping that she'll offer to drive us from Gloucester to Swindon on Friday & we can go stash shopping then. If not, I'll have to bus it there on Saturday. Any chance you'll be there then?Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Yay stitching and holby - best night ever
Have to agree, settled down with my stitching and watched Holby, the TV highlight of the week. Turned TV off afterwards as Silent Witness is far too scary to watch when you're home alone.
Was planning an early night last night as I'm working until midnight tonight, but just had to finish this flower, and then maybe the cherries.......sound familiar??Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Hi
hoping to do some stitching this afternoon didn't do any yesterday had other things to get on with, I think that now I'm back to the normal routine I will need to set aside certain times for cross stitch other wise I will get out the habit again.
