It's bad because the cat was poorly just before Christmas. Really need the insurance to pay out - fast. That was £400. Ouch!
That is bad, hope your cat is ok now! Hubby's car is on its last legs and costs us a fortune. As well as the bills for fixing it it's also cost us 5 days pay in the last month where he hasn't been able to get to work  Now I just need a lottery win so we can have a new car0 -
WOW, has anyone seen THIS cross-stitch before???
Imagine having that in your UFO pile!
Apparently it took 10 years to complete, and took 628,296 stitches in 1,809 colours!
I think the most stitches in a kit I have is about 30,000 ish lol
Yikes
Closest I have got to that was 400,000 stitches for my 'Vision at the Lake' HAEDtellmeitsfriday wrote: »Checked the bank this morning, and after all the dd's are accounted for, I have 74p! Erk! Did a couple of hours on my cushion last night, at the moment it looks a bit bright, but hoping it will get better, the more I do. Managed half an hour on my lunchtime kit this morning whilst sitting in the garage waiting for my courtesy car to be delivered.
Have just had a little bonus, we were all supposed to be going out for dinner with one of the guys we work for this evening, and it's been cancelled :T so loads of stitching time for me and h2b on nights so won't feel guilty about neglecting himMarried 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

He will... if he knows what's good for him
It'd be ok, if I'd actually bought anything nice with the money.
At least puddytat is ok tho
Ah, roll on payday!!
I want to be at home, with my x-stitch0 -
Blimey the thread moves quick these days! Mind you, with hubby back to work I'm eager to get back to my normal daily routine so should be able to keep up with the thread easier :rotfl:
Not sure I'll get any stitching done today though.....Been out all morning, took Mum to hospital for a check up on her foot. Was waiting for just over an hour and when she finally got called to see doc she was back out again in 1 minute!
Xmas decs are down but tree needs putting away then I have a pile of ironing to do. Should be back to normal stitching time tomorrow and if I pull my finger out I might get the mice on their bike done this week.caroline78 wrote: »Enjoying looking at all your designs..
Quick wonder: How do you all stitch...do you do rows at a time, blocks of colour or what...
I stitch all the main big bits of colour first and then fill in the little bits afterwards, I also like to do the backstitch as I go too..
I start from the middle and try to stitch blocks of colour so that it uses the whole length of thread. I'll do the small bits as I go and the backstitch because once I have scrolled my frame I don't like having to keep going back......once it's scrolled it's scrolled:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Will catch up on lunchtime tonight, but just ran on to say that those of you that pop into Swindon on occasion might like to know that Framework which is based in Cheney Manor Industrial Estate is closing down and having a sale.0

Hi guys, can I come back to the cs cafe please?
I haven't posted for months as so much going on at home and I needed time away, however, cross stitch is still going even though I haven't finished this....

I have one and a bit A4 pages left to do and then its completed!
Although I haven't posted I've popped in from time to time on the old thread and have read this one from the start..some lovely pics been completed, you should be proud.
Can I join the flickr group too please? I will get some photos to add to the album.0 -
By the way have any of you seen either of these as just the charts rather than the full kits?
My friend is pregnant and mad on Teddy Ted so want to do one of these despite the back stitch

SAL is stitch-a-long where some of us pick a project and do it at the same time.
Currently the cut-thru designs by Bothy threads - have a Google!
Some of us are going to SAL a 'dictionary of' design.
