Nykied they arn't really bad but they are the worse I hwve ever stitchedIts because you have so many colour changes and the backstitch is so delicate. If I stitch a newton's I know it will take twice as long as say as something else that size. But that being said the end results are amazing :T
I have done 2 hours on Gorjuss today, gave up to excercise. I am a bit annoyed with myself to be honest. I purchased it at a craft show so wasn't really paying attention. When I opened it it uses a lot of silver thread (I hate stitching with silver) but this thread is horrid and there isn't enough of it  The worse part is it's a bothy threads kit and there is no colour chart so I can't easily replace the thread. But I have used the silver thread I used on the butterfly and although you can see a change I can live with itIn future before I spend £16 on a kit I will see if it contains silver stitchs :rotfl:

Evening ladies.
Had a whole afternoon stitching today as the F1 then MotoGP was on. Seemed to get lots done again and can see the end in sight.....not that I am in a hurry but you know what I mean.
I am already thinking about what to do next
Had to tidy stitching away as Hubby has gone out on his bike and I can't concentrate so I thought I'd come on my pc to try and take my mind off worrying about him until he gets back. He's been a biker for more than the 21 years I have known him and I still worry:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi everyone,
I feel like I am intruding slightly, but I'm a bit of a newbie to cross stitch and if anyone can help, you guys can!!
I would really like to make some lovely items for my family for Christmas. I have ordered book mark kits for family abroad and I would like to make a cushion for my Mum, do you know of anywhere I could buy a whole kit with everything included to make the cover and the actual cushion? I have scoured the internet and can't find what I'm looking for.
Do these kind of kits exist? or should I forget it and buy her some smellies instead?!! :rotfl:
I would be grateful for any assistance / guidance.
Thanks x0 -

REALLY happy with it :j:j:j
This is on plastic aida and I really like it to stitch on. You can get it looking perfect as due to the rigidity of the plastic the squares dont pull together. This would be impossible (probably) to tear but really easy to cut. I used silver thread to tie the beads on - OMG nightmare! I managed to snap two beads:eek: infact one now is barely stitched on as I didn't dare pull the thread too hard! And I don't like the silver thread as the coating seems to come off really easily I'm not sure how I'd get on actually stitching with it
This is the bear finished except for all the back stitch:

It's a bit late...or early, whichever way you look at it
Can't sleep so having a wee browse, thought I woudl post the little bits I have been stitching. Not got the concentration for the bigger bits of work atm so these ones will be made into cards (two on the left) fridge magnets (upper right pair) and my mini stitching for DD's dolls house underneath that.
Bit of a bright moment...my mum couldn't sleep either so she was playng online Bingo....and won £1,600 :eek::eek: I'm so glad, at least that will ease one of her worries for a bit
Is it any wonder you're having sleepless nights Louise. Love your little pieces and I'm sending your Mum a 'well done' on her win. Thoughts are with you all for tomorrow.I just picked up a little 'Newton's Law' kit at the boot sale (it's called 'Happy Birthdaisy') for 50p. I also got a 'Learn to knit' book, also for 50p. Yay me...
WOW what bargains nykied. Have been putting off going to booty sales as my son will get carried away and will have to have everything he sees cos it will be a bargain and might come in useful one day :rotfl:postingalwaysposting wrote: »Thanks all, as Louise says Gorjuss designs really do take shape quite quickly. Also they are relitively small (I thought this one was bigger) s they are quick stitches. I didn't do anything yesterday though, I am hoping to finish the stitching today and maybe the backstitch tonight, fingers crossed.
Your little foxes are getting bigger PAP - the colour looks lovely
Marru - your chicken are really funny - in a good way.:D Looking forward to seeing the end result.
Craftygranny - hope Adam is making good progress after his op.
You have been busy Observer - the little snowman is lovely. Will have to give the plastic aida a go. Didn't even know it existed until I joined you ladies (what was that about a sheltered life) :rotfl:It's amazing how the designs come alive once all the backsititch is done even though its a pain sometimes.
My stitchy news - did some sky last night on cottage garden but I just couldn't be bothered tonight with it. Blaming the heat - but I won't worry cos it wont last long I'm sure .......... Sorry its been a bit rambling
Take care everyone and will try to post pic update during the weekSPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -

He is gorgeous, well done:T:T:T
Glad you got on well with the plastic canvas. I have some kicking about somewhere, I must look it out and have a go again. What are you going to do with him? One year I made plastic decs and put them in with the family's christmas cards - done personalised ones for neice/nephew
Have you thought about using invisible thread to attach the beads? You might find it easier to get on with than the silver thread
