I love your watch, where did you get it from? I had a search and found these on Amazon pricy though:eek:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Whimsical-Watches-Unisex-Stitch-U0450010/dp/B002DI7QH2

Thanks for all the nice comments about my watch. I can't remember what company made them. I think I bought it from a friend, but if I come across the other watch kit soon, I'll make a point to come on here & post what company made them. Google wasn't coming up with much for me.

I quite like that one posted in the link, but very expensive!
Adam had his heart op at 8.45 this morning and went back to his ward at 5.15pm the nurse said he hadn't recovered properly yet but they think every thing has gone well so fingers crossed he should start feeling better soon.

Hope he's recovering well. Send him hugs from his MSE family!

Don't apologise I don't need much persuading to buy from Lush :rotfl: I bought a pot of Oatifix face mask for me, a comforter bubble bar for Moo, some Dirty shaving cream and a Dirty deodorant for DH :)
Your watch is gorgeous and what a lovely keepsake from your day.

Oooh, I love a face mask. :) I used to do demos on those in the shop often. I have no problem sitting there with the chocolate one on my face in the middle of the shop! :rotfl:In fact, here's a pic of my friend with a face mask on while I give him a hand and arm massage at one of our Lush parties we had in the shop.

    We had no shame...;)

Thifty-How was the craft market? Any goodies that you bought?

Flat Eric-Yes, in a way I do miss working at Lush. I met some great friends there and when it was good, it was such a blast. I think it's changed a lot since I went though. I only left because they got a total idiot in to run the shop and she was...well, put it this way, several people handed in their notice within a week of her starting. She's long gone now, luckily. She didn't have a clue what she was doing. Why on earth she was hired, I don't know! Monkeys could've done better.
But the training days are very good and you get a great discount (and freebies sometimes). And you get used to the smell very quickly. In fact, all your clothes smell great all the time. But you do get glitter on everything. Including my motorbike! (actually, I did park it in the staff room once, so that might explain that...)

Marru-Oooh, that's gonna pop into life very soon!

    Evening!
well the "special 3rd birthday" community market was not much different to what it usually is, which is nice, but I thought it would be a bit more special and had hoped the scouts were doing car washing but they didn't so i look like doing mine tomorrow while the kids " help" me- not:D
I bought some strawberry and rose geranium jam £1.75, a child's necklace that DD picked up £1, 2 little cloth bags £1.50 each for a friend's children which I filled with a hand made soap £2.50 and a lip balm £1.50. I also got 4 cards £1.50 each and a paper craft pair of baby shoes for £3.50 so I was pleased with my presents. I have a few friends who have stalls at the market and like to go along and support them at the prices aren't bad either. The presents for the girls are because their mum is my friends sister in law and she passes me huge bags of clothes on for nothing so I am very grateful.

It didn't rain here so didn't get my day if dvd and sewing but us girls did baking (butterfly buns and banana and walnut muffins) while the boys wasted their time upstairs shooting things:)

sewing wise I have done some more of the sampler while I caught up on the first 2 episodes of Luther  scary, have done something different to the border tonight which was a treat:rotfl:
I think ironing and marking will beckon tomorrow:( must try to squeeze some stiitching in somehow though!

It's a bit late...or early, whichever way you look at it

Can't sleep so having a wee browse, thought I woudl post the little bits I have been stitching. Not got the concentration for the bigger bits of work atm so these ones will be made into cards (two on the left) fridge magnets (upper right pair) and my mini stitching for DD's dolls house underneath that.

Bit of a bright moment...my mum couldn't sleep either so she was playng online Bingo....and won £1,600 :eek::eek: I'm so glad, at least that will ease one of her worries for a bit :)

I just picked up a little 'Newton's Law' kit at the boot sale (it's called 'Happy Birthdaisy') for 50p. I also got a 'Learn to knit' book, also for 50p. Yay me...
  • Thanks all, as Louise says Gorjuss designs really do take shape quite quickly. Also they are relitively small (I thought this one was bigger) s they are quick stitches. I didn't do anything yesterday though, I am hoping to finish the stitching today and maybe the backstitch tonight, fingers crossed.

Maruu, those chickens are so funy. Can't wait to see the backstitch bring it to life.
Louise, I love those weight loss sentiments, looks like quite simple charts too. Congrats to you Mum too :T
nykied, wow super bargian. I love newtons law kits but they are a pain to stitch. I still have one left upstairs to do, maybe some day. Enjoy your purchase :D

Yes what a bargain Nykied got ! I haven't been to a boot fare in yonks - might have to start going (although I do have more than enough stash to keep me busy for a small while....)

I agree the Newton Kits are complicated but the designs that have been featured in World of Cross Stitching are (I think) a easier to stitch - I started the bear eating cake one and also am stitching the newton design from the current issue. :j
