Has been quiet on here - I've also been awol recently, have popped on elsewhere but forgot to come in here:o but have been podling on with bits of stitching but nowt major.

Is freezing and howling a gale here tonight so am going to go and put heating back on and snuggle up under a duvet and stitch once tinies have gone to bed.

  • Well it's official. I can cross stitch during chemo treatment. Cannular in the back of left (hoop-holding) hand and I'm away. Four hours worth yesterday so completed the border of the bathroom sampler that has been my lunchtime project for the last two months.

Just a little bit of lavendar above the bath and it's finished, I've been back stitching as I go as it's lots of little bits and pieces.

Lovely long weekend coming up in which I plan to:

    1. Iron and make up my LOVE cushion.
    2. Wash and prep my red crockery sampler for taking to the framers next week.
    3. Finish the bathroom sampler, wash & frame.
    4. Finish stitching pin cushion from 2 month old Cross Stitcher and make up.
    5. Dig out my UFO 'Too pooped' and make that my June challenge.

Not sure the weekend is that long, but I'm not working back at the pub until next week, as I should be on my honeymoon :(

sending you hugs thats quite a big weekend list thank god its a long one lol

  • Bikerchick, sending lots of positive thoughts and hugs your way. Hopefully being able to stitch will take your mind off of the treatment.

Mags, wow sounds like you had an awesome time and lots of adventures.

The WIP is slowly coming along and I will post some pictures later.

    Morning all

Welcome back Mags_cat, sounds like you had a fab time.

Congratulations bikerchick, I hope u had a lovely wedding day. Thats good news u can cross stitch during chemo, so sorry u've had to delay your honeymoon though, but once u kick C's butt u can plan the honeymoon of your dreams :)

PenniB, I think that sampler would look lovely as a cushion, and if not tassles at the corners maybe some red piping round it to finish the cushion off :)

Well I am finally on the 9th and final house in my DOH and I fully intend to actually complete my May challenge! Once I've done my cityville on FB I plan on snuggling on my new lush sofa and stitching away until I have to go get DS at 12 :) The housework can wait!!

Hope everyone is ok and I will try to get an update pic on here for u guys later x

Mags Cat - sounds absolutely fabulous but lovely to have you back.

I found THIS, I am sooo tempted to get January and August. Or I could do the calendar for my mum and then just do the two for myself as smaller versions.

Stilling plugging away at it, not long until I have to give it away though :( I am off on holiday soon but will not take this as I would dread to think what I would do if I lost it so I will be taking my buttons with me and maybe a small kit too.

I have however been looking at the seller that I purchased this from, I am now in love with this and this :o I will not buy them until I complete Alice though :rotfl:

Have a great week all, I am still reading ;)

Bikerchick. Glad the wedding went well can't wait to see the pics. I can't wait to see the red crockery i fell in love with it when i saw the pic before you started i bet it's amazing. I might have to ask for a nudge on that .lol.

Chicky what a beautiful boy and don't they grow fast. My dil had logan on the 2nd march and she goes back to work in just over a week she can't believe iit came around so quick.

All this talk of wedding anniversarys makes me feel ancient . I'll have been married 31 years in august. I was definately a child bride (not) lol.

Stunning work ladies. I'm letting the side down i'm afraid i just can't get started again.

Mags cat sounds like you had a fab time i can't believe your back already seems like you only just went.
