Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend?

Found out on Thursday that my job is at risk of redundancy, so think I need to spent the rest of the afternoon stitching to try and take my mind off things. HopefullyI can get the birth sampler finished as just the backstitching and name to go.

Tired and grotty back isn't helping much - am going to try to see a chiropractor next week as this has been weeks now and I am a grumpy bear because of it.

Am going to root out hot water bottle and get stitching to cheer me up:j

which is your favourite winnie the pooh character ?

For cuteness I like Piglet but just for being a tiger I love Tigger!

MountainAsh. I love the Fuchsia panel, the colours are very striking.

Bikerchick. Love the wedding pics. Wishing you both all the best for the future :)

Sammr. Love the DOH. I'd like to do a Dictionary of kit someday but I think the constant changing of threads would do my head in :rotfl: Have you chosen your next project yet?

JCS1. Hope you get good news that your job is safe.

Dora. Hope your back feels better soon.

    Love that tiger!! Well done.

Not it is proven that cross stitch needles are very dangerous things indeed. I had to go to court yesterday so I took the little bird with me to pass time while waiting for the hearing. Security wouldn't let me have it with me because of the needle. What did they think I would do with it? It is so blunt that even than I have poked myself with it several times I have failed to draw blood. And afterwards I realised that I had sharp sizzors in my hand bag that they completely missed. Oh dear. When I left the court I asked them to give me my "lethal wepon" back which they duly did.

you could always stab someone in the eye with it ! This is what the security guy at Gatwick told me as he confiscated my needle :D. I really missed my sewing on the oring 9 hour flight, and I never did get my needle back

I was allowed to take wooden knitting needles on the plane with me, but they confiscated the metal stitch holder that I had.

I have also found that gold cross stitch needles go through the scanner in a more stealth like manner than normal metals ones...

.... just in case you ever need that info :D

Ooh - good to know :D

And I am sooooo happy :j I got the wolves and the bear cub kits in the post today. They are AMAZING! I can't wait to get started on them. My work colleagues didn't quite get my excitement but they seemed to be very happy for me.
