Oh - I'm sorry to hear that Sweetcarer
Nature is cruel. There are lots of people who could have babies desperately trying not to get pregnant - taking drugs which are making us ill.
And there there are other who want babies so much it hurts, but can't
And there's nothing we can do about it.
I feel I started this topic, so I will apologise sincerely for upsetting you. I am ever so sorry.
Would you consider adoption? There are thousands of children who need homes, families and love. (Sorry if that's too personal, I've already upset you once!)
I have no stitchy news... really must get on with it.
I am currently trying to work out the cheapest way to go to the Isle of Wight for a weekend in 3 weeks. Need to take the car really, must research....0 -
ohhh <<hugs>> Sweetcarer that must be soo heartbreaking. the NHS are a complte waste of space how can they judge people like that - if you could concieve nautually they wouldn't be able to say anything. If its any consolaion my friend got told at the beginning of the year that she would never have any more children due to a cyst type thing (can't remember exactly) so they stopped using contraception (what was the point).... her 2nd baby is due in 8 weeks time. Moral of the story....... don't believe doctors.
bedroom activities.....wish I COULD avoid em.... erggg DH is farrrr to $exually charged!! give me a cuppa and my cross-stitch any day. ohhh a cuppa that'd go nicely with my homemade choccy cake.
OH OH OH Stitchy news............

Do you collect Tesco clubcard vouchers? You can use them for Wightlink ferries. http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=168&bci=4294967191|Travel
If you can do it without a car, it's easy to get to the main resorts by public transport. Greyhound do coaches to Southampton, as do Megabus. We're in London & got to Shanklin really cheaply last year. I love the IOW!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I have stitched the bridesmaid and have both of these patterns, my sister has them at the minute but I'm sure it wouldn't take too much time to get them off her.
I work at the University in Sheffield by the wayChickywiggle, don't know why you'd want to know that, but sometimes nice to know there's someone local.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenge Member #53.

They are selling it at sew and so for £4.50 and when I went to checkout they added £1 for p+p so thats not too bad a price. There are plenty of threads in there to maybe get near on both designs stitched, but only 1 piece of aida.
If you run short of any of the colours the chances are I may have some spare that I can send you if needs be.
The university is such a massive place isn't it, same as the council I suppose.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenge Member #53.

My tuppence for what its worth. I have PCOS, got diagonised at 27, got told I would probably never have kids, soul destroying as I would like to have them, hubby had a genetic condition so they were unsure if they would give us IVF and I am overweight (due to the PCOS). I am now don't have periods - I am on Femulen. I still get a little emotional about kids. New hubby is soso about them as he was adopted and his first wife lost their only one. I guess I never will as I am still overweight and now diabetic. !!!! i',m crying.
Hiope all is well
sweetcarer
Hugs Sweetcarer, I too have PCOS, diagnosed at 20 and also told I would never have children. However it didn't affect me as I don't want bio children anyways, if anything I wish to adopt. I too don't have periods :T But I hate the other handful of symptoms I get with PCOS and would do anything not to have thoseBut hey, otherwise I am healthy and happy. So sorry your post made you upset.
In stitching news, today I have finished the eye in black and added some colour0 -

Interesting conversations here lately.
I am on my second mirena coil now....it went in last year @ the FPC. I am 50 and had my first period at age 91/2  Unfortunately it seems that those who start early, last longest!!! It's just not fair!! I had my old coil for 6 years (only really works for 5 or so) so all my old symptoms came back towards the end. I hardly have any bleeding now and my PMT is soo much better. It was lasting over 2 weeks and I would have a full week's bleeding...not fun .
DH has been willing to have the snip...but I need to take something to try and control the severe mood swings and pain as well as the bleeding. My mum was like this too, but she managed to have a hysterectomy. I have asked about it, but the specialist said I was too big (very bluntly ), and he said I would have to put up with it...after all that was what made me a woman!!!:eek:
Luckily the coil works for me...and I am praying for my menopause!! I do get the odd hot flush ocne in a while, but that's about it so far! The doc who put in my second coil also suggested I took Vitamin B complex and St John's Wort to help combat my symptoms as well. She is doing research into complimentary and herbal medicine and how it can help women...how refreshing!

"Hang on darling, I've just got to finish this section of green, then I'll be in..." Two hours later & he's fast asleep anyway!
I've reorganised my fabric with the new boxes, yet somehow I've ended up with less space than before...Hmmm...
I have the same problem stash-wise too...I will just have to use more of it I suppose!
No stitching done this week...been very busy, and when I have had some spare time, I have been knitting or sewing.
Right have to get to bed early, off to the Malvern Spring Gardening Show tomorrow. I am helping at a stall in the late afternoon, so have the rest of the day to have a good wander round...can't wait!
Hope to get some stitching done this weekend....sometime!
PS Sorry if this converstion is upsetting anyone (((((Hugs))))) to you all.
