Yep! me too, always had a soft spot for Schofe. If any of you are Twitter birds, you can find him on there called '@Schofe' ;)

I got my first rose panel done yesterday, I will share a picture on monday. :o

I watched the wedding on SkyNews, cos I like to be different... She looked beautiful. I was happy to see that while it was a very formal wedding, they looked relax and moments of informalness, like when they were on the balcony.

    Louise. He's gorgeous!

I haven't started my backstitching yet. Might do so later while listening to MotoGP and Snooker.

    Wow Louise, he's marvellous! :j

So what's the next project for you?

I have been getting a bit of work done most evenings on The Elegant Lady...still slow though. How do you your single half-stitches, I am finding I take ages to get them all done, the tie-ing off of each one is a real pain :o.

    Have a good weekend all.

    Hello,

Only a quick one as I'm cooking tea.

Love your work Louise - still wish I could sew as fast as you.

Didn't get much done on Friday as I had to weatch the wedding - think I've become obsessed by weddings after getting married last year! We had a BBQ which didn't finish til the very early hours so yesterday was spent starting the Mackintosh pic however today I have gone back to Titanic and can definitely see it being finished this month :rotfl:

Mags_cat love the St Petersberg design, it will be a lovely reminder of your trip. I want to do a Sydney one as a reminder of out honeymoon (eventually). Hope you have a wonderful trip.

Right, best go before I burn stuff! Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone :)

^^Found some black fabric so have started work on the Swan Queen

Forgot how much longer it takes when I'm not using the washable marker

Not sure what you mean about the half stitches?? I can't recall any that are all that far away from the bulk of the rest, so when it's only a couple of squares, and I'm working with a light colour (so it doesn't show through) I just carry it over and continue stitching.

I didn't get round to my stitching till this afternoon but once I got started, I was hooked and the anniversary card I have been stitching is now finished !

I am so pleased with the end result which I have tweaked just a tad from the design featured in the mag (the design was from an old issue of Cross Stitcher) - the seed beads were featured on the 30 card.

On the 40 card, I should have used a felt heart with the heart embellishment attached and a blue ribbon. I didn't have the right colour felt so did cut out a heart shape (not very successfully!!) on some strange pinky coloured felt but when I spotted the 30 design, I decided to do the heart in seed beads which has worked ok I think - only trouble was - there isn't enough room to include the heart embellishment but after a brainwave, I have sewn it into the middle of the card inside.

Quick question - I want to iron some interfacing on to the back of the evenweave before I mount in the card- will this work with the seed beads ???
