Hi Mrs Milkybar Kid. Is it ok to shorten it to Mrs MK in future?

Ooo - which to choose....I guess MMK is easier and quicker to type!

Ok, just to give you something to read, I'll post about my day. Nothing stitchy related mind...
Alarm went off at 9:30 & I pressed snooze about 4 times before dragging myself out of bed. Yes I know that's really late compared to many people, but I need lots of sleep or I'm evil. Body a bit achy from gym yesterday. Only my second session so I'm still adjusting to using muscles I didn't know I had. Had breakfast (toast & actimel yog drink) and spent far too long deciding what to wear. It was really hot here today & I ended up wearing a long floaty skirt & a short sleeve knitted top which I hadn't worn in ages.
Had a counselling session at lunchtime & it takes 3 buses & 1 1/2 hours to get there(far less if I could ride the bike there but got issues with it at the moment). Session went ok. No tears this time, but I'm sure she is trying to get me to cry! I'm not sure how much it's helping as I don't think I gel with my counsellor that well, but I'll stick with it.
Took ages to get home as bus connections didn't go smoothly. Stopped at Iceland to buy some Chinese food for tea. Their sweet chilli chicken is HOT! My lips were all tingly afterwards.
Got home & went to put the food away & spotted something in the mousetrap. Freaked out & went to hide in the bedroom. When DH got home, he informed me it was just a slug (a huge one that had been causing us problems for ages) so that's not so bad.
Now wrapped up in my dressing gown with a heat pad because I have cramps & am feeling sorry for myself. Got a coffee too & plan to watch Candy Cabs in a few mins.
So that's my (boring!) day. :)

I have just spent a good few hours stitching away on my new lap frame - i'm finding stitching with two hands very difficult to get used to but i'll keep at it. Put my stitching down and for some reason decided something wasn't right, on checking the picture and graph i've started my HEAD in the centre of the middle page not the centre of the actual piece (hope that makes sense). I'm stressing out that its going to all have to come out now as it will drive me mental, I am sure I will have enough fabric as I left 3" extra but that will only leave 1.5" at the top. Hope I am making sense here - I am really quite annoyed with myself!

Everyones progress looks really great well done.

Noah is so lovely chickywiggle, won't be long before hes at the icecream lol

Sounds like a nightmare Emma - at least you've found it now. If youre sure you'll have 1.5" left at the top i'd be tempted to leave it and just make sure the aida/linen is bound securely so that it won't fray at all. When it's framed a mount will give you any extra you want between the stitching and the frame. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you have worked it out right and don't need to start unpicking today.

I picked up the kingfisher from the framers yesterday - got it home, very excitedly undid the brown paper it was wrapped in to have a peak only to find 2 chips in the frame so I had to get straight back in the car and wait there while he made another frame. At least it's sorted now!

....Tried to do some stitching in the garden yesterday afternoon - was all going well when next doors kids realised I was outside. I'm not a kid person but those 2 seem to like me (more than likely 'cos I give them cupcakes from time to time!). Anyway, they wouldn't leave me alone and I didn't get a minutes peace for about the next hour. Today I plan to be strategic about outdoor time and wait until I see them leave the house then come in again when they get back (or hide the chair directly behind the shed and be as quiet as possible!!!!!).

Hope you all get to enjoy the sunshine at some point today xxx

Thanks ejs, I actually don't even want to pick it back up now :(, I will leave it till later and double check everything because if I have to unpick it I know its unlikely I'll pick it up again.

LOL I love the hide behind the shed and be quite as possible, I hope you get some quiet outside time today its such a lovely day.
