Hi Mrs Milkybar Kid. Is it ok to shorten it to Mrs MK in future? Say no if you prefer not :o you are welcome to the cafe either way :D

Elle. Nice progress. Such tidy work.

Wow Elle1267, that looks great! Well done on completing page 2....that's my HEAD target for May (I only started last March, or was it February :o !!). Don't blame you for looking to do something else for a change. A large part of my Page 1 was black and navy, so the orange looks a doddle to me...at least you can see the stiches!! :rotfl:

Got no stitching done today...been out and about spending: Mr T delivery; haircut; friend's birthday pressies; clothes for DS2; NO trainers for DS1 (he tried on LOADS!) and a lovely meal out with DH and the boys.

Working tomorrow, but hoping to stitch in the afternoon/evening.

Update on Forest Walk - second page completed! Yay!

Even though it doesn't seem like much of the picture, I can appreciate just how much time has gone into those two pages. It really does look detailed and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it :T:T:T

I hope you're not offended if I offer you a small bit of advice? :o On the right hand side you have a few stitches here and there going across to the next page of the design.....I would suggest you keep doing this wherever possible when you reach the edge of a page.

It will help blend the lines between the pages. You might not think you would notice but when it is finished and framed you may be able to see faint 'lines' in the stitching where you had straight edges.

I hope I am making sense, sorry if I haven't explained too well :o

    Thanks everyone.

Louise - yes I have noticed the lines. Ironically that's not the reason why I did it. Sometimes I'll do a colour up to the edge of the page and finish the thread only to find just a few more stitches of that colour left on the other page. I find it saves a bit of thread carrying it on but thank you for the advice I'll continue to do that. I want to thank everyone for the various advice I've picked up on here especially using just one thread and 'looping' the needle through at the beginning and feeding the needle through the back when doing confetti stitching (I didn't even know it was called that) I would have been driven mad by now with this piece otherwise.

    Thank you

Louise that is such a useful tip, thanks. I've settled on a multi-page chart (my first ) for my next challenge and I need all the advice I can get !

All - great work and chat, you cheer me up when the old depression hits :T

I've got about 2 days' worth of back stitch to do on my Rennie Mackintosh tile. I find backstitch very soothing and I'm itching to do some now but I must get my recycing done and finish off my weeding before I allow myself a treat. I've earmarked a couple of hours this afternoon so I can stitch and watch the craft show on QVC.

    hi all,

welcome MMK (tee hee Shelly i shortened it even more :D) great how babies bring people together.

Am very jealous of all the stitching going on.... i got mine out to do last night but bubs decided the only place he wanted to sleep was over my shoulder with one hand on him!!!

bubs is pretty good at night, went to bed about midnight (so much for the early night i had planned) up at 1.30.... but took me nearly half hour to realise he was cold. then up once for a feed at 5 last night. hubby if course managed a perfect nights sleep only waking for about 20mins cause I'd left Noah to cry while i went to get his milk.

wahooooo i have ordered a masssssiveee food shop to be delivered this morning......how sad that I am getting excited. guess i better get dressed and go sort the freezer out so i can fit it in. then sister-in-law is coming over with her bubba (about 9 month old) this afternoon.

    have a good day alll.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Louise. He's coming along nicely. Will be stunning when done.

I plan on getting the grass finished and Tigger started on my design today. I wanted to get the grass done yesterday but my belly was growling very loudly at 7pm so had to stop to feed it :D
