I need motivation - the last 'hour' of stitching on the Kingfisher has taken 2 hours already and I'm still only about half way there. It feels like it's never ending now :(

Must finish it tonight as I have to get it washed, ironed and to the framers tomorrow - it can't possibly be any later.

...Just a thought - can you put a piece of stitching with metallic thread through the washing machine? Am thinking of putting it in a pillowcase just to be on the safe side.

    Have a great evening :)

Thanks a lot for that I have looked at them but still don't know if it will hold all that material, its really huge the square I have marked out is only 1 page and theres 44 of them lol. I worry that I won't be able to roll all the material on to it iyswim.

    Emma

My HAED was 300x400 stitches and I did it on the small lap frame, just by rolling/pinning the fabric at the sides, so it can be done :)

Just found this pic in my files, it's the frame with a HAED attached to it, so you can see how it's all pinned up to one side

Yep, as long as you have secured it at the back properly it will be fine on a gentle wash. Deffo put it in a pillowcase :)

Good news ladies, Dad's coming home today! :j He's still on antibiotics for the chest infection but other than that he's doing amazingly well.
Not sure I'll get much stitching done for a while as I'll be looking after him for a few hours a day whilst Mum works, just until he feels confident to be left alone.

    :j:j FAB news!!!!
