On a positive note, I no longer have my oldest UFO - it's finished:T:T I knowI probably shouldn't clap myself but I did start it in October 1998. Can't believe that with the encouragement from this forum I have finally finished it.
It's beautiful! Well done for finishing. Also on a non-stitching note, OH proposed on Friday (the day after my birthday) and we picked out a ring on Saturday :j They didn't have the right size for my twig-like fingers, so they're ordering it in and I'll collect it next SaturdayThanksNot sure about the hats as yes, Aposaver, it's too soon to be making plans. Although I have been thinking about what sort of dress I'd wear and what colour scheme and everything else
Congratulations to you both! It's not too soon to be making plans at all! When we got engaged hubby proposed on the Sunday, the day of our '10 year being together anniversary' and I had the church booked on the Monday morning! There was no way I was waiting another 10 years :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Here's another update from me....
and today,
Not stitched everyday of the past 2 weeks but I'm happy with the progress. I don't want to rush it as I am really enjoying stitching it. When I started it I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it because it's not like seeing a picture develop but not changing colours every 5 minutes is a nice change:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Haven't managed a stitch all weekend, was planning to last night but had a migraine and went to bed at 5 o'clock. Still groggy this morning so have taken the day off work. Pottering about in my pyjamas atm, but will sit down with my stitching later and catch up with Waterloo Road.Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Shelly - it's coming along nicely. I liked that about it as well, nice and straightforward.
I won't bother posting an update this week. It's just more blue on blue so I won't bore you all.:o I have got page 3 out of 4 finished though. Working away this weekend and a lot of prep to do so hopefully get it finished next week and will *just* get it framed in time for my gran's birthday.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Thanks! I did try to include you in the previous multi-quote but it didn't work0 -
caroline - that's awful that he's still not back, I hope he comes home soon and really tries make it up to you.
bikerchick- enjoy your day at home, sounds like you need to recuperate for a bit!
shelly - great progress. I've never liked those designs from looking at the pictures, but seeing yours for 'real' it looks great!
I've finally decided after constantly changing my mind (and one awful attempt at my own design) what to do for my parents ruby anniversary. I've ordered it now, so I HAVE to do this one! I went for it because it's more traditional which will suit them better http://www.busylizziecrafts.co.uk/ourshop/prod_1112215-Ruby-Wedding-Anniversary-sampler-cross-stitch-kit.html
I will change the words, but I haven't decided what to change them to yet!0 -
Well, that's the inlaws dropped off at the station. It's taken me ages to catch up with your weekends.
Caroline - I'm so furious for you. You must have the patience of a saint.

Ooo well done How did you win that?[/QUOTE]
Louise - Just sent a text in to the competition number in Cross Stitch Gold.
Heads up for anyone in the Manchester area: Sew-In of Marple and Didsbury are having a sale.
Smileyt - any ideas if the sale is still on - might have to force myself out of the house if it's that good!!!!
Well, now I have the house back to normal and no distractions (other than the internet) i'm going to get cracking on the Kingfisher. MIL birthday is 5 weeks today.
Will try and remember to put an updated pic on in the next day or soCross Stitch Cafe 2011 - no 58 :A
