The first one or the second one?

caroline - sorry to hear about your other half. The only positive thing I can think of is that £40 wont last for ever. Hope he's home soon and full of apologies.
On a positive note, I no longer have my oldest UFO - it's finished:T:T I knowI probably shouldn't clap myself but I did start it in October 1998. Can't believe that with the encouragement from this forum I have finally finished it.
Anyway enough whittering here's the picture of it. Sorry the quality of the picture isn't very good, taken on my mobile.

Just need to wash, stretch and frame now. Don't know whether to treat myself and pay for it to be framed. If anyone knows of a framer near Birmingham I would be happy for recommendations, my framer closed down.
Brilliant! Well done you :T:T:T well deserved claps!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I've got the box set, watched the first film at the cinema and bought both films for me and my sister at Christmas.
I love them all. The bit where Charlotte drinks the shower water was the highlight of the first film for me :rotfl:
Also on a non-stitching note, OH proposed on Friday (the day after my birthday) and we picked out a ring on Saturday :j They didn't have the right size for my twig-like fingers, so they're ordering it in and I'll collect it next Saturday0 -

Congratulations nykied you must be so thrilled
. Are you going to have a big wedding or is it too soon for plans?
Well done Ailsb, that's good perserverance to get it finished :T0 -
Sorry to be off topic again but still no sign of hubby.
Turned out he was in this sister's house last night which we found out late on, about 11pm...he phoned and said he was sorry for worrying me but would be home first thing this morning...I tried to phone a few times today and no one would answer their phone, but through another sister I found out he was planning on staying a few days...well I had a fit and said he needn't bother. Then my phone rang again and it was him to say he was still drunk and promising he would be home tomorrow.
I am getting so fed up with all the excuses and constant promises of changing. To be honest I am not expecting him home till about Wednesday which really isn't good enough. He knows how hard we tried for this baby and how stressed I get and still doesn't seem to care.
Ignore me too cause I know he will come home and after a while all will get back to normal, but it is so annoying.
Trying to stitch but I find when I am stressed the stitches are tighter so have to remain calm to do it...lol;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Oh dear caroline, so sorry to hear about your DH...what a ******* he is!!! Not sure if I would have your patience though.
My dad went through a phase of drinking loads when I was a teenager and sometimes disappeared for days too...though that was better than him coming home blazing and wrecking the place (which he did a few times). My mum was amazing and put up with so much from him at that time...they did love each other loads, but he just had a self-destructive side to him then. Hope you can work something out.
Still not done any stitching...feeling really guilty now. Had planned on getting some done this weekend, but been getting over a sickness/dizzy lurgy, which hasn't left me feeling like sewing at all.
Tonight realized I should update my cv as I am discussing a possible future teaching job tomorrow (same college where I already work). It's going to be informal, but I thought I'd update my cv so I can have it to hand...not done it for 4 years...it was a bit out of date!!
Amazing how you get dates all mixed up! Done now, so off to get a few bits ironed before getting to bed at a sensible time.
Have a good Monday all...not sure when I will get back here, busy the next couple of days.

ThanksNot sure about the hats as yes, Aposaver, it's too soon to be making plans. Although I have been thinking about what sort of dress I'd wear and what colour scheme and everything else
Caroline, I'm really feeling for you right now, hope you get it all sorted out and your stress levels drop - for the baby as well as for the stitching.0 -

oh caroline i've been hoping since yesterday that he'd seen sense and come home. Please try not to worry too much and take care of yourself and the baby you need to put yourself first.
I'd be annoyed too . I can well understand your stress levels rising.
nykied Congratulations . Did you have any idea he was going to ask?Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
