dont worry i didnt think you sounded desperate at all. i've had some good xstitch books from Corby lib before... maybe if i know i'm heading over that way i'll just post a little message here? you never know who i might bump into in the stitching section of the main library?!;)Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. help! i'm totally confused about what to write on the wedding sampler... is just first names more common? and the date? i've quite a bit of space to play with...
i'm thinking the date in the heart and their names below... what do you think? it'd leave the top bit blank... should i put in 'just married' or something? i've been scouring sew n sew for inspriation and it just makes me wish id bought a kit!! (but this is perfect for their theme so i shall persever and maybe just start the outside bit to get me going...Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Looking at your design
Why not take out all the lettering and put the details below the heart. Put their names in the heart and details below - eg Mike & Jenny in heart, and below married 7 July 2007 at Loch Lomond.
That is if you want to keep the design but not too bothered by lettering - if thats rubbish forget what I said.
I see you live near Corby - my late husband has a brother near their in Uppingham and had a bakery in Corby - been a long time since I been down that way - don't know how they would react if I turn up and said HI.
Not been too productive today - did a washing, brought it in, sorted out litter tray and organised shopping list for going to shopping later when hubby wakes up.
He is not so good I think - he is not coming to bed at night - still on night shift mode. We have applied for some jobs but no replies as yet. He says he needs to readjust to day life.
We went out last night - didn't have a good time - being together was nice and fun but the food was a disappointment - when I complained they just reheated it. It smelt like the meat was off and during the night I was sick.
Will do some ironing now before he wakes, trying so hard to sort our life out. I am working so hard to get over my downs.
Kind wishes to all where ever you may be.
sweetcarer:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
23rdspiral- I often spend time at the library too;)
I think the names would look best in the heart, and as long as you've got the names and date I don't think anything else is too important.
Sweetcarer- Sorry to hear you had a bad evening out, hope you're feeling better now. I always find when I'm down it's best to take things one day at a time and then it seems easier to turn things around. Fingers crossed for you that he gets some job replies soon and things look better for both of you.0 -
Happy Sunday everyone - done nowt of any real value today so going to unload car of crud soon and get started.
Did do 20mins on wii fit and then half an hour stepping while watching casualty last night so at least my fitness and health should be starting to improve slowly! Have signed up to do a midnight 10k walk for local hospice in June to spur me on to shift a few pounds and get fitter (hopefully) plus if its being done at night there wont be so many people staring at me:o Just got to rope in some friends to join me on the walk now.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

I think the names in the heart, and then the date beneath sounds lovely, and maybe add the church where they got married too.The_Dragon wrote: »Okay this week I MUST finish off my Map of Durham, chivvying me along is permitted (nay encouraged!)

Could you not add this saying but put it round the outside instead of all together at the top or bottom..if you know what I mean...xx
Well I have very very nearly finished my stocking, just the name to add at the top, but don't want to start a new one as I am hoping my sewandso order comes tomorrow and I know I will want to start my Mr Men one...lol
So, one of my brothers friends gave us loads of baby clothes and I know her little boy adores Liverpool Football Club, and I had started a kit of the badge ages ago and reckon a night or two will finish it so am going to try and finish that off for him....maybe make it into a cushion instead of framing it to save money.
Will get pics up later....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0
