postingalwaysposting the design size is 8.5 x 8.5 so not too big and there's only full x's, no fractionals or backstitch :j

I love these emotions they are so cute and made me feel good. Off out to the pound shop and see what I can get in there that we need to save a wee bit of money.

    Kind wishes

I haven't managed any cross stitch recently :( - I've got back into reading so that is what is occupying my commute to work at the moment. I'm too tired in the evenings to stitch (i was in bed last night at 9.14pm!) and on a Friday night too ! I've made a carrot cake this morning and have a beef and veg chili on the hob for tea so still haven't managed any stitching yet....

I'm pleased though, I have the fizzy moon kit that was free with the world of cross stitching mag the other month but have put off doing it because of the similarity of the thread colours - after being so spoilt buying kits that have the threads pre-sorted, I haven't had the energy to sort them - they just look too damn similar but I had a brainwave this afternoon  I knew fizzy moon had featured in a previous issue so a small hunt for the mag and lo and behold the key for the design they featured previously matches the key for the free kit (where they haven't given the thread numbers) so now I can see what threads i need to use (which as they are dmc, I am more than likely going to have in my stash) so I won't have to spend ages trying to sort the threads they supplied.:j there are some colours that aren't repeated but they should be easy to sort. I think this might be my afternoon project (well its going to take me longer than the afternoon to stitch!) but it will pass the time while my OH is watching the rugby.

I haven't had chance to catch up properly with all your posts so hi everyone, hope you are all doing ok and hugs to all who need them. I don't get on my computer at home as much as I would like mainly because I have been getting pains in my shoulder and so after being sat at a computer all day at work, I try to give myself a rest in the evenings. I wish i worked for mse and could spend all day catching up on posts. :rotfl:

Afternoon folks :) Am feeling much better today, even though it is pouring with rain here!
Hope everyone else is doing well too. Glad to hear all is well with the baby Caroline, I can't imagine how worried you must have been.

    Here is my update finally!

This was last time in June last year lol

    And this is just now

Sorry for the awful picture but I wanted to post the update :D

Now I just need to finish the border, do the rest of the backstich and the beads and french knots.... Not much then

Would you recommend that I wash him before I do the knots/beads? I'm worried about the knots falling out!

  • Well here is my promised update.
On 28th Jan the rocket looked like this :

    Today it looks like this:

Sorry about the sideways picture, my photo editing skills are so poor! Nearly all of the progress has been in the last week, so I'm hoping I keep the momentum and get it finished in a couple of weeks.

Love the santa picture skoobie! No idea about the washing though, sorry.

    Apo - that looks fantastic!
  • No stitching for me today and going to work at 6! Spent most of the day defrosting the fridge freezer and doing housework :(

But the good news is my cleaner had her baby on Thursday, seven weeks early, so will hopefully be coming back sooner than expected. I work about 55 hours a week so really can't fit everything in. I'd much rather spend Saturdays stitching than hoovering :rotfl:

Have MIL2b (who is lovely) coming for lunch tomorrow but should have some time in the evening to stitch.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go............

Had a little stitch last night then nodded off on sofa and woke up cold and stiff at about 2am!

Have spent my birthday vouchers on some nice new clothes and had nails done too so can't do any housework (have told dh they take 6 hours to really dry thoroughly so he is insisting on doing tea and putting kids to bed so I don't ruin them!)

Might just squeeze in a little stitching later - plan is to mega work this week and then have a day off and concentrate on stitching - I seem to work better if I bribe myself!
