  • probally read it somewhere and it stuck in my mind, i thought id heard pin cushions had it in but think ill go with Louises suggestion and use wadding just incase i ruin the cross stitch with sand coming through the adia and staining it, unless i double line it that is and put the sand in a pouch with wadding round it. Decisions decisions

    thank you for the replies:)

    I've finished the xstitch on the bowl of lemmons!! :j just the backstitch to go.. shouldnt take too long but then i'm not good at judging these things! and i think i want to add some words too.

    ~~~~~~~
    Mrs MP - i stuff pin cushions with rice (not cooked!). they feel comfortably weightly and dont have little bits that could leak out like sand might.
    Lizieb - that's very pretty. it's like the wedding sampler someone here did a few weeks ago.. Louise maybe? could you alter that design somehow to make it smaller? just a thought. who stitched it again??
    Yup, it was me.
    The alphabet and the roses on the ring cushion are the same Lizzie, I could email you that if you fancied charting the borders yourself?
    I asked but I don't think I will be doing anything anytime soon. I am reaching the bottom of my barrell - I am so very worried about money. We will only have my wage coming in and it will leave us with about £50 a week to pay for food, diesel, and gas & electric. I am so sick, hubby tries to reassure me but I can't sleep. I spent my lunch today crying - I was on my own. So sorry for my depression. You lot help so much, you are so kind, never forget that.
    Kind wishes
    Sending you virtual hugs. If you didn't live at the other end of the country, I'd come round with a cuppa & some cake to cheer you up. Can you talk to someone about getting some finacial help? Could your hubby do some temp work for a little while until he finds something more permanent? We're all here whenever you want to talk. xxx
    i know exactly how you feel we are in the same position and i know how stressful and depressing it can be, we try to be really strict on what we spend money on if we only have a tenner gas to last the week we ration it ect, we have been in this position for a while now and honestly you will be ok, try not to worry about it non stop (which i know is easier said then done) but you will drive yourself mad and make yourself ill
    sending you hugs and hoping things get better for you really soon
