I have an intact mirror :j
Mine must have landed on something soft :T0 -
I know! The woman on the phone said that they don't know if they'll send out another (hopefully with some bubble wrap!) or an alternative gift. They're just 'collating' everyone's information at the moment.
Apocasaver - i'm glad you had a nice time away. yorkshire is lovely, dad used to live there so we visited a lot but havnt been there in years now.
Ruth - that's some progress you've made!

It's bound to be obvious but I see many of you mark your fabic with a blue pencil. Is this ?ct increments for ease of pattern following? Have to say I have never done it this way & if so does it easily wash out?0

The pen I buy (from Sewandso) washes out easily in warm water. (and much easier than the pre-marked fabric you can buy)
Squares are marked in 10x10. It makes stitching much easier and quicker, you are concentrating on a smaller area and you also notice sooner if you make any mistakesCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. As I said it was bound to be obvious but nice of you to confirm it.
I always use post it notes on my charts to keeps track of where I am at, which I sure I'm not alone in doing & works for me.
I do love x stitch but I never have any place to give my finished pieces. My mum has taken it up recently doing a beautiful wedding romance chart (no idea who it's by)0 -

Oh don't worry about that
I have 80+ completed pieces in a box upstairs- I stitch just for the sake of stitching. They are useful if I need a picture in a hurry sometimes though

Lovely stitching everyone :T
Especially like Louise's "Highland Living" and Shelly's R-Mackintosh sampler...I love things based on his designs.
No stitching done this past week...must get my finger out, or preferably all of them, so I can stitch properly! :rotfl:
Off to make HM ketchup...recipe doesn't seem to call for heating the ingredients at all...but I think the onion and garlic need a bit of cooking!!
Happy stitching.
