    Hi everyone,

some lovely stitching going on, well done.....

I need your help pls ladies, I am thinking of giving the sampler below to one of my friends who are pregnant as I dont think I will get both Tatty Teds done in time but she now knows she's have a baby boy and chosen the colours for the nursery, navy and light blue....do you think i should unpick all the yellow border and change the colour to light blue or leave it as it is and just use blue lettering? :undecided also what colour frame??

I would keep the border, and use navy frame and either navy or ligher blue lettering.

That looks very cute. It seems as though you have gaps between the yellow squares - if you do, I'd just fill the gaps in with blue and then do the lettering in navy blue

I've got more or less the whole range of DMC (I stock up when I'm on holiday in the US ;)), so I could send you a few lengths if you don't need to buy a whole skein at HC's extortionate prices

If I can help, PM me the no's

    Linda xx

Many thanks Linda but I don't mind as I will adapt a chart in a magazine to use the colour anyway. Just a real pain because I want to get the piece finished :rotfl:
If it's a kit you've bought, why buy extras - write to them and say you didn't have enough. They usually send you some x

Thanks TMIF, I bought it on ebay from a seller that also has a website if that makes any difference. Its strange because some of the shades only has about 15 stitches and they have 3 mini skeins in them yet the one that has 70+ stitches only has one skein :( I might email them first and see if I get a reply before buying some tomorrow :D

I meant contact the manufacturer of the kit, i.e. Bothy or Dimensions or whoever made it rather than the shop :) Either is worth a try though :)

Thanks TMIF, I did contact DMC, I was just worried they may ask for proof of purchase from a 'real' shop :) If I have no reply before I head off for work (working a late) I shall pop into HC anyway.
