Happy Valentines Day to all :smileyhea

Hubby got me my fave Lindt chocs and a card which he had *gasp* written a poem in!!(Never happened before in 13 years lol) Fair enough he stole it off the internet :rotfl:but it's the effort that counts.:T I will make him his favourite dinner later - Chicken Balmoral.


My'Highland Living' design that I intended to start today has had a bit of a setback - Hobbycraft didn't have light blue fabric large enough. Going to have to order online, so it will be another few days before I start now.

Hey all.

I can't believe I've only just found this thread! (I'm not stalking you chicky, honestly. )

I've been having a look back and you're all giving me the kick I need to get started again (been aaages since I did any cross stitch!).

This is the last project I did, far too long ago -



Just need to decide what to start with...

Beautiful unicorn garnet lady, I can imagine it took a long time to complete due to all the simaler shades. What have you done with it now? Is it framed?

:mad: Not happy with this kit, two colours already don't have enough skein. I shall have to go into HC tomorrow and pick up the colours, the local shop only carry Anchor. Bit annoyed to be honest but I have to finish this design now

Lots of lucky ladies on here getting Valentine's stuff. My hubby won't 'do' valentine's at all. I made him a card this afternoon even though I know he won't appreciate it or reciprocate, but I wanted to make one so thought I would anyway!

I've only been watching not posting the last few days as I haven't been stitching so no updates. I've been too busy trying to sort out the house for viewings. But now we've found a house swap, so I can relax

All the pics of everyone's work are great, lots of progress being made.

I like the unicorn GarnetLady. You'll get far too many ideas on here for what to do next, before you know it you'll find you have 20 things you want to do :rotfl:

I've got more or less the whole range of DMC (I stock up when I'm on holiday in the US ), so I could send you a few lengths if you don't need to buy a whole skein at HC's extortionate prices :eek:

If it's a kit you've bought, why buy extras - write to them and say you didn't have enough. They usually send you some x

Thanks all. The unicorn is still unframed, I haven't found anything suitable yet but will have to start looking again soon.

I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant with my first baby - a girl. So I'm trying to decide which sampler I want to do. I have a whole cd of charts that someone gave me and there's a nice Tatty Teddy one I fancy. I'm going to the Hobbycraft/Creative Stitches show at the SECC next month so I'll see if anything else grabs me while I'm there. I also want make her a quilt and I'm knitting a blanket, should keep me busy!

I used to work in a shop that sold Cross Stitch stuff and was a DMC stockist, so I'm used to temptation lol! :rotfl: I have 2 or 3 half finished kits about and plenty more still in their packets. Not to mention the charts, fabrics and thread.
