  • Hi,

Soulie that service sounds lovely... I used to love singing 'when a night won his spurs' back in primary school. and you can't beat a bit of Chesney, I think 'upbeat' funerals should definatly be the way to go, after all they are supposed to celebrate someones life aren't they??

got a bit sidetracked with my new phone so another night of no stitching.... that and we didn't get tea till about 9pm. So hopefullllyyyyy I'll get some done today. Think I'll take DS upstairs for a flick through my cross stitch mags for ones i no longer need/ want and those bagpuss designs. any ither requests while i'm raiding my collection??

  • DS moved out on Friday night so have been spring cleaning my 'guest' room. Do you think it's over the top to have a little basket of hotel toiletries in there?

I now have two empty chests of drawers and a wardrobe, gonna put all the big coats in the wardrobe, but the drawers are crying out STASH!!

Soulie - thanks for letting us know. It sounds like a lovely send off; very personal and expressive of his character and the love everyone had for him. I lost a close friend in an accident when we were teenagers and we played music from the CD he was listening to at the time. It was such a good idea and the feelings of shared love have stayed with me in such a posative way. And i totally get the Chesney Hawks thing! (oddly i was thinking of that album earlier today).

Biker chick - i think that's a nice idea, why not! (to both the smellies and the stash drawers!)

    Thanks Chicky and Nykied.

~ i havent stitched a stitch since Thursdays mammoth endeavour on the train. i hope to tonight though. was gonna last night as OH wanted to try to see too the end of HERO, (he's always fallen asleep before), but he wanted it in the original chinease, so i couldnt stitch. oh well, it's a fab film so i dont mind.

fun today was free and included a nice walk. I saw my first snowdrops!! so am now going to celebrate Imbolc (calendar said 1st or 2nd but i go by nature).

beautiful work, the photos are gorgeous.

ive done a little cover kit, it was from cross stitch crazy from about 10 years ago. a bunch of spring flowers so it will make an easter or birthday card, it lots quite nice but its very small.

got a little winnie the pooh hanger to do next (another cover kit) its mostly long back stitches so it looks kind of sketched.

my thoughts are with you and your family soulie,
    SPC~12 ot 124

I also done this cover kit a few years ago...It turns out really lovely the detail is so fine but because of the type of stitching used it doesn't take too much work...xx
