Aargh, I can't believe how long it has taken me to type this without my s key. That's the third key to fall off in 6 weeks  A new laptop is going to be needed soon!
Can you see about getting just the keyboard replaced? My OH did this for my friend when she lost some keys, found a site with the spare parts, unscrewed the laptop and replaced the keyboard.
  • Your stocking really is beautiful Caroline and you seem to have flown through it - wish I had the time to stitch more vounting down the days til my 3 LOs are in full time school!

I have my Charlie and Lola charts thanks to the lovely Maria :j
I have never made a card before that didn't come from a kit with the mount included do you make your own or where is good to buy them from?

when i did them i put them in frames (not sure if you want them to be cards though) they fit perfectly in a 7 x 9 frame 79p in wilkinsons

thought it was about time i updated
here is where im upto i started on the 20 of january so thats 2 weeks 4 days

i think it will be quite a while before i finish as i still have the rest of the boarders and the 2 s to finish and all of the background needs stitching, so it might have to be put a way for a while whilst i do my mil birthday present

your brothers service sounds lovely soulie i have been to 2 funerals in the last month and i always feel that when they are more personal it is nicer.

  • Hi everyone long time no see! and hello to anyone that has joined since I was last on

Sorry I havent been on for forever, I had rectal surgery and things went wrong and it turned into a major operation and took a lot to bounce back from but I am here now and I have finished yesterday the sampler for my brothers wedding 19 whole days early! Im really impressed with it as I changed loads bu adding kreinik blending filament to some of it and using a small design from a cross stitch magazine so instead of a & sign between the names it was two wedding rings. I will take a photo tomorrow.

Anyway better go for now as I still get tired easily.

I hope everyone is ok and hugs to those who arent.

    Hi Bubbles,

Great to hear from you and glad to hear you are still stitching. Sorry to hear your operation went badly xxx

I didn't get any stitching done at all over the weekend as I was really hungover after a drunken work night out on Friday. It was a really good night though so worth it.

I haven't had time to catch up with all the weekends stitching yet but will try to when I get home

Am a grumpy old bag today (miserable day at work where I could please no-one so gave up even trying) will come back on when feeling more like the shiny happy old me. Really need cake and choccy but doc says to try to lose a bit of weight so best steer clear.

studsmatta.gif My BIG NEWS of the day is that i found a tin of pineapple last night and decided it wouldnt move house with us, so opened and realised how huge it was... but fancied cake... and a quick search of MSE Old Style provided the MOST AMAZING RECIPIE I'VE EVER MADE!!! i mean, seriously. 1 egg, small amounts of flour and baking soda, some tinned fruit and 5 mins in the microwave made the Most Lush steamed pudding/upside down cake ever!! we were both gobsmacked. and very full!91.gif
