PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

I would never have let them have a key! If anything does go missing, I don't think your insurance will be keen to pay up. You really shouldn't let them have access to your house while you are away. Even if they don't take anything - and that includes information such as credit card details and bank accounts - what state is your bathroom going to be in?
They are taking advantage of you being nice people. I would rather pay the fees for a caravan site than have them camping on my drive for any longer.0 -
This thread rocks! Sorry about the peg bag confusion - off to read up on the other thread soon. Funniest thread for a long time.
Hope its a wind up - no way should you put up with this. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
