Besides they have to buy now as they are waiting for the court summons.
Watch they don't try to unwittingly lead (rope) you further into their troubled lives.
You might never escape. :eek:0 -
ofcourse, if it is bad news then, i would not think about telling the world. i'd prolly pour a large drink and go to bed......
fingers crossed that all is well with clampets and jones and they are all tucked up and dreaming of compleation.

They know where their bread is buttered.
Maybe they have called in the in-laws & "extended family" of 50+ members.
Maybe you'll wake to find you're surrounded by an encampment of gypsy transit vans & campers, ponies tethered to your lawn & children running riot on the road.
Good luck !0 -
Update
Well the plot thickens.
What we were never told, and nobody had to tell us, was that their mum was also moving up from the Devon area. The mother apparantly lives in the north of Devon in a council house.
Anyway, rather than wait until the Clampetts to exchange on our sale, then give notice in on her council place, the mother, who is not au fait with the delays of housebuying, did it anyway and had therefore made herself homeless with effect of tomorrow.
Mr and Mrs Clampett explained they have two options
1) is to place the even more potless Mrs Clampett senior into a boarding house for the next couple of weeks, which they cannot afford, and if they had to, they would need to reduce the asking price on the house to compensate.
2) ask us whether Mrs Clampett senior could move into the spare room for the next 2 weeks.
I told them we were a little worn down wih the whole situation and that housebuying although never straightforward was supposed to be a little more plain sailing.
We promised them we would give them a decision this morning.
I went over the the campervan motorhome thingy at 8.30am to tell them that their mother could stay with us provided she provided her own food etc and bug ger me, who should open the caravan door but THE MOTHER who I swear was gurning at me and I could barely understand her. I went in to the stinking shed on wheels and delivered the news, much to a lot of whooping from the Clampetts.
It emerges that they went down to Devon to get her yesterday whilst her other son who actually lives in a caravan as he works on the motorways, clears her place today and tomorrow.
So The Mother asked if she could come over to the house and just as we left the caravan she said
"oh, i'll bee one minit luv, lets me jess get ma teef"
So here I am, I am staring out of the window in disbelief at the caravan wondering who else they have lurking.0 -

this is incredable. i;d knock a grand off and book two weeks of travelodge family room and hand them the rest of the money for food for two weeks 700 accom and 300 food... isnt it worth it for sanity? plus toilet facilities, imagine when removal day arrives, your drive will be mad enough.1. i'm bi polar.:rotfl:2. carer for two autistic sons.:A 3. have a wonderful but challenging teenage daughter. 4. have a husband that is insatiable. 5. trying to do an open degree.0
