Online Next Sale is Rubbish!!!

Yes....I don't understand what all the complaints are about. Sales aren't for the benefit of the customer, remember, it's for the store to get rid of unsold stock quickly. If there's very little unsold stock then from the point of view of the store their buyers have done a good job and their stock control and handling has been a sucess. If the store only has a small amount of crappy stuff left to put in the sale then it's a sucess as far as they're concerned. Or if the first 1,000 people through the virtual door clear out the stock, that's a sucess too. Whoever thought the VIP slot thing up was a marketing genius. You think the store cares who buys the stuff or whether its "fair"? You think stores are in the business for the sake of the customers????? More fool us for falling for all their hype tbh.
Excellent post. I'm sure many of us have said that certain shop's sales are rubbish or there was nothing worth having, but some people seem to feel cheated if they're not able to kit out their family for the year at half price. Some people seem to think that shops should have more stock for the sale because they know they will be busy!0 -
the main problem with the next sale they tend to sell off off all the excess stock from past seasons and old stock from the warehouse.
Is that not the whole point of a sale - to get rid of old and discontinued stock at a reduced price?
(Have I missed some irony again? It happens more often than I like to admit!)

If you were a good buyer you would have enough leftover stock ready to make more money from the sales0 -

The whole point is to make money not give it away, as my old girlfriend Liz Gibson used to say0

You're not wrong there!!! I haven't got anything decent from them for ages.0 -
I got loads being a VIP.
Me too! And I bought near enough 3 of every item! Nope it won't be on ebay but on my 8 month old twin girls and 2 year old daughter, so really don't see how they can limit to one of each item. I dread going to the instore sales as i am made to feel guilty about the quantity of each item i buy, one pleasent lady even suggested i put some back and leave it for others!0 -
Hm, best thing to do at next instore sales is to just look for the size u want on the coathangers then quickly glance at it. If you think you like it then put it in your bag then sort it out when you're finished browsing and put back things you decide against or if you think you're over spending LOL
i'm going to instore sale tomorrow but never been to edinburgh princes st store for a sale before so not sure if it'll be naff!0 -
Can the main Next website be accessed whilst the sale is on or is only the sale stock available online at the moment?0
