I have to say, that the Next Sale was THE BEST ever, I got clothes for my kids (all 5 of them) to last them all year for under £30 each. I do it every year & they're the only clothes that wear well.

I bought some leggings for my DD from Primark last week and they ripped the same day we bought them. The quality is awful. Whereas, for the same price in Next (in the sale) they last all year & even get passed on to DD who's younger!!

Next Sale is perfect, my fave time of year :D

PS, online is wholly poop tho ;)
    :) xx JoJo xx :)

:heart2: And only now I see the light...

  • Wow jokey, thats a great deal!! Under £30 for each of your kids!!

I think i might go through later in the week now i'm feeling better. Thankfully - thanks to an awesome friends hand me downs - my daughter is sorted mostly, but i could do with some clothes for my little boy. Getting his wardrobe for anything under £50 even would be brilliant!

Do the sales stock summer stuff or is it just wintery?
    Sarah. :p

its mainly stuff from the autumn/winter catalogue, with the odd leftover bit from previous seasons

however, if its boys stuff you are after, their clothing doesnt tend to be as seasonal as girls stuff, as its mainly Ts and trousers that they wear all year round - its just the colours might be a bit less pastel in the winter, but if you stick to blues and greens, they can really be worn all year round - way more versatile, and not so obviously seasonal, best thing about having boys, they are so much cheaper to clothe than girls

Well I wandered into my local Next at noon on Boxing Day, missed the queue completely, picked up half a dozen t-shirts/tops and a tankini for my daughter for under £20, no queue for the till. Then when I was at a different shopping centre yesterday I got two t-shirts for me and another for her. £8. Nice stuff, decent quality, good enough prices. I can't be bothered with the hype and the hassle of the queues but I'm perfectly happy to go in and browse. Worth while going back on Friday too when the returns start coming back, or Monday. But I wouldn't make a special trip, oh no. There's nothing that special about Next stuff...it's better quality than the supermarket brands, yup, but it's no better than say M&S.

  • I was also disappointed with Next on-line sale.

However, I went into my local Next on 27th at around 10.30. It wasn't that busy. I got pyjamas for both grandchildren, a top each and jeans for the youngest. I got the lot for under £28. I was there about an hour or so and it did start to get quite busy. There was a queue to pay, but it was very well organised and I didn't have to wait long. I am pleased with what I got for my money.
  • The best online bargains come on in 2-3 weeks time. I get a vip slot but dont get that excited about it, would rather wait. You need to check the internet early morning 7am ish or in the middle of the day when no-one else seems to be online. The bargains are nowhere near what they used to be a couple of years ago but maybe this is because Next is more successful now. Also they have a sale section on the website all the time now so this makes a difference.

I got an £80 pair of leather boots for £20 in the last sale. Have worn them to death and they still look great, they are just as good as the ones I paid £100 for in Clarks.
  • Is anyone still waiting for sale stuff to be delivered? Despite getting numerous mails saying different bits of my order are on their way to me i still haven't received a single package. And to make it all the more annoying someone just dropped off the new catalogue today. I would like my bits please!!!

some of mine came today, but when i ordered stuff it showed both in my basket and on my confirmation email when it would arrive - some did say up to 4 weeks
'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time
  • I got loads of stuff delivered today that i had ordered from the sale. Still waiting for stuff that i have already been charged for but hoping that will arrive whilst i am off work!! i did check through the delivery notes for probs the first time ever after reading about everybodies problems they have had with orders only to find something missing. I rang them up and advised it was missing from the order but of course it is oos stock now, grrrrr!!! i was also advised the claim will take 28days!!!
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to post comps
  • Call me mad but I ve set my alarm the last couple of mornings for 3am:eek::eek: but today it was finally worth it. I was lucky enough to have a slot on the 1st of the VIP sales but there was still some bits that went OOS. Updated the sales page at 310am today and girls bits alone went from 200 items to 600!! managed to get girls coat, little tikes trike, santa sack, baby girl momento box, fisher price tea set and some tea towels that were on my original list but disappeared when the sale went live!! so if you're really desperate for something might be worth setting your alarm!!! bonus is all can be delivered to store for free!!:o:o
