I buy because of quality, not because I think my children will be "superior" in the clothes :rotfl:
Now if you want to talk about cheap tat, then you are right to mention Primark.
Oooooh yes quality.... , do you eat princes hot dogs by any chance?
Bet their proper quality!0 -

I was impressed with the few bits I got last sale. The branded kids t-shirts were excellent quality, although some things (like everywhere), weren't of great standard!
When my eldest daughter was a baby, and even up until about 2004 when my youngest was born, the quality was brilliant. NEXT in the earl 90's was superior clothing, it was considered semi-designer among playgroup Mums
Each to their own, I think NEXT is a bit like marmite!0 -

They have stock which were from multiple previous sales which didnt sell the first time or the second or the third etc, but they are still putting them through everytime trying to get rid, I know most stores are like this but at next its beyond the joke, honestly got sick of seeing the same rubbish sale after sale. Never bothered going to a next sale as I got to see every item going into the sale and the price before hand and nothing ever caught my eye.
Also when I worked there we used a different warehouse to process sale stock and it was absolutely filthy, you could hardly see because of dust, so obviously the clothes sometimes got abit dirty, and they hire in agency staff (young ens who seriously dont want to be there) and they dont 'care' about the stock, so the end up kimbling (putting the tags on) wrong so end up with holes in the clothes and the red dotting wasn't done with care so red marker pen gets all over.
Honestly dont know how they can sell it!
Yet another one who doesn't understand the hype of the Next sale, can't say I've ever found anything good in there.
I remember last year my local store had loads of luminous mens swimming shorts in the sale (No doubt a throw back to 3-4years ago when the retailers all went a bit mental one summer, and thought all men would want to dress like the cast of 'Skins')
I reckon I could come back in 10years time and find the very same swimming shorts in the Next Sale!0 -
Yeah, i must say that although i don't consider Next clothes to be in any way "designer" at all, they do seem to look cuter and wash better than many others, like Tu, George, even M&S. Kids clothes i mean. Ha ha! Adult clothes might be cute too, maybe...Sarah.

DS2 is 14 months old0 -
My sil would only dress her little girl in next when she was a baby, now she has got older and is runnung arround, drawing, painting and playing she no longer dresses her in only next clothing.
Personaly i do not understand some people who do act like snobs saying they will only dress there children in certian clothing (not people on here mostly mums from the school)
I tend to go for clothes that i like the look of for my two and if they are in the sale even better, they own george/tescos/peacocks/next and even primark clothes or as i call them primarni. :0)0 -
i have to say i am getting fed up with next trying to palm off previous sale stock (but show me a retailer that doesn't apart from the ones that now have ebay outlets). but i have tried endlessly to find boys jeans for less than £6 a pair that last and next do it everytime for me. How can you complain at a 3 pack of long sleeved t shirts for £4 that will last for my 2 boys. yes when the first has grown out of them normally within about 4 months the younger one gets them. i have had primark t shirts fall to bits after 2 washes and george i have to buy 2 age sizes too big just to get them to fit them. all retailers these days take the pickle (clarks shoes being one of them) but i dont honestly know how anyone can have a go at anyone on here for buying things from a shop. you spend your money on what you can afford or think is value surely. each to their own:T0
