Acutally, we got a great deal. The price we paid is actually incorrect because the Hayes & Jarvis website showed cheap flights that aren't technically available for our hotel, there were a lot of issues with people saying different things (like us having to pay extra etc) but I kicked up a fuss on Trip Advisor and they contacted me saying they would honour the web price :T

I think Martin would be proud! :rotfl:

Thanks Becs, needless to say I literally have to save every spare penny over the next few months with having Kenya in March as well

On the plus side, my healthy lifestyle is starting to pay off as I have lost half a stone now. Just another 3 to go! :rotfl:

You seem to be well in the swing of saving now, I'm sure you can do it. And what great motivation to do it!

Thank you all very much for not telling me off :rotfl:. Rather typically, just a few days after booking Reethi my abs light came on :mad:, I'd just booked the car in for 2 new tyres so the damn thing has cost me a total of £200 this month!

Bit of a catch up - On the 1st of November I officially got a promotion, although my title hasn't actually changed I now have line management responsibility for our accounts department in North London, the good part of it was the £2.5k payrise, the bad part is that so far, the travelling up there and back has proved to be a total nightmare (I don't have to go every day, will usually be once every two weeks but as it's our financial year end I'm having to go up more often), the first day it took 3 hours to get home due to an accident on the M25 and when I went up by train yesterday I missed the 5.44pm train home by less than a minute so had to wait an extra half hour! I am going up Monday again too .

The weight loss is still going well, I now weigh less than I did two years ago so am very pleased, I think it's 10lbs so far. Rather strangely I seem to lose more weight when I eat worse than my official diet! Every week I've thrown caution to the wind I've ended up losing weight, when I stuck to my diet I stayed the same for 4 weeks! :eek:.

Money side of things - DMP now down to £2,892.63 and noticed Payplan shows expected end date of 01/09/12 but I am not sure if that is quite right as I always thought it was Oct?! Not going to argue anyway. Have been fairly good with money this month, managed to cover tyre cost from normal budget after putting £140 into savings and obviously I paid out £300 for Maldives deposit. I have quite a bit of expenses due to me for my London travel so it's a bit confusing at the moment, I will have to report properly once that's all been paid.

Last Sunday I listed my underwater camera on Ebay as I want to buy a new camera for Kenya, it hit it's reserve the same day and has a lot of watchers so I think I will do ok out of it. I also put on a bracelet and some vouchers I won when comping, in total (incl camera) I have £123 of bids which will all go to into savings for whatever pops up in the next few months. I have got quite a few bits for Xmas too, either from the grabbit board or by using vouchers that I won a few months back. I still have £149 left which will buy the majority of the last bits. We have also managed to accumlate £144 of Tesco vouchers over the last two years so we have decided to do our Xmas food shop and buy food/alcohol gifts with it.

Got another two exams next month and one is just horrific, I meant to start revising last weekend but I had to go to emergency dentist with tooth/gum infection and felt so awful I didn't do any. I meant to start today but felt so tired from long day yesterday, then Zumba last night and then getting up at 8am to meet mechanic for repairs that I haven't started again. Taking DD shopping tomorrow and then Zumba tomorrow night so I might have to try and start during the week!
