I would echo what everyone is saying about churches, as many are holding free christmas lunches for people tomorrow. Is there any way you could find out what your local one is doing...local paper/ church window or something, I really hope you can get something sorted and have a good day tomorrow with the little ones xx

I know that your offer is made in goodwill, but please be careful. People have given financial help before and then the OP has disappeared never to be heard from again. We have no reason to doubt that the OP is not genuine, but I would hate to see you taken advantage of. This is the reason why exchanging personal details is, strictly speaking, not allowed on MSE.

There is help available to the OP without resorting to taking money from strangers. However, she is the only one that can make that help happen.

If I were in a desparate situation I'll ask anyone to let me use a phone e.g. local shops, petrol station, police station, hospital, fire station etc and tell them that I'll bring back some coins later on when I get them. Surely, someone must be kind enough to let someone make one local call.
