Your biggest problem is that you are completely unwilling to listen.

Do not go trundling off to offices where there may be no one there. Find a phone and call the emergency team. If you do not want to do that, present yourself at the local police station. They will let you wait there until someone from SS can attend.

Is that statement really helping the situation; she has nothing and is worried her children will be eating fresh air. Im sorry and dont wish to offend but i dont find it helpful in the slightest. I have been poor and not been able to feed my kids. I ended up stealing food from a shop ( i didnt get caught and only enough for my children - not for myself) but its not something i am proud of at all.

People have tried to be helpful. The OP has ignored all the help offered.
    Gone ... or have I?

ive spent most of the day taking peoples advice been to the job centre twice, spoke to a social worker at the town hall, tried to apply for crisis loan, emailed 2 homeless centres, been down to the church who have contacted social services and each place i have been i had to walk to which has took time

Have you considered asking your Nan for a short term loan? She would have had her winter fuel payment in the last few weeks, she should be able to loan you enough for the bare necessities, £20-30 would buy you gas and elec and some staple foods to last for at least a week.
