I don't understand how they still have electric when it was on 'emergency' two days ago.
I know when I had a meter, the 'emergency' button only gave a day or twos worth at most...
You say your nan can't help out with money, OP, but how about going to her place just for the warmth - she would be glad to help in that way, surely?
To be fair my emergency is £5 and lasts for 3-4 days and I live in a 3 bed house, but I must add my electric cuts out in the night and that with british gas.Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!

We're with Eon, and since we changed from the cardboard electric tokens to the blue and red key, we don't get cut off between 9pm and 9am.One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

OP which area of the country are you in? I will see if i can help you out if you are near me. I cant believe some of the trust issues etc people have in this thread! What a non caring cynical bunch some people come across as. I have posted my problems and got excellent help and advice which i really needed at the time and valued immensely. Condemnation would have had me in tears & proberly sent me over the edge at the time. If i can help you - i will. I noticed you said you contacted the local church. If you also find the local sheik church or the mormon church they will give you and your kids food and try to help you out also. (Yes i went there)Grocery Challenge - Jan £4.42/£200.00
Up my income - £124.00/ £11,000.0
