Primrose Hill is beautiful. It's where OH lived before we moved in together and I think the Hill is really romantic. There are some lovely pubs and restaurants nearby. Getting to it is an !!!, though, as it doesn't have a tube station, so you need to get in to Chalk farm and walk, or take a cab.

    Good luck :)

Chalk Farm is the nearest tube station to Primrose Hill. I'd get a cab if you can afford it, especially if you don't like tube stations.

  • Somerset House ice rink is very romantic at night when the Christmas tree is all lit up.

It's free to enter (if you don't skate) so very MSE :money: and you can buy her an over priced Tiffany box style cupcake - not so MSE. ;)

I don't want to come across bah humbug - but to my mind a romantic place is somewhere with special meaning to the couple/ person being proposed to - not a random place you don't even know how to get to recommended by someone on the intyweb who doesn't know either of you! Is there nowhere special to you and your OH what would make it really personal?

Having said that I really hopes i goes well, you find it ok and manage to secure a quiet spot!
