  • The more I look into zudirect the more I am put off:

    1. No Contact Phone Number & Address is incomplete

    2. Registrant details hidden behind a Proxy. Does this mean they dont even own their own website name ?

    3. Payment through Nochex which anyone can set up without having a merchant account.

    4. Where are the goods being shipped from are they UK compliant and have a UK valid warranty.

    5. If these goods are being sourced from outside the EU will there be a possibilty of Import duty as well.

I'm sure theres more but I would be interested to learn if anyone has received their order and can supply either a contact phone number, proper address or VAT number for this company.

This time of year its critical to get those presents on time so I think I will spend the £149.00 for a new PSP and just find a store (with contact details) thats offering a free game as well.

As far as the best firmware goes, I'll worry about this when the time comes and if it is possible to change the firmware myself without to much hassle thats great.

I'm not setting out to bash this company but their is enough alarm bells ringing to put me off.
  • All i was posting was what the sales rep from zudirect told me,which was they were negotiating a different deal with a french supplier and would be able to honour our purchases shortly.Like everything else the proof of the pudding etc....to clear any confusion I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH ZU DIRECT and am equally as anxious as everyone else to receive the two psp's we paid for.I felt it was in everyones best interest to post what they had told me,and will be waiting with interest to see the outcome in the next few days.
  • Forgot to mention zu direct said they would contact me early next week so as soon as we hear anything we will post it.Hopefully they can supply the psp's as we are on a limited income and this would be a disaster for us.
  • I'd like to back fraser up. and think my post history is pretty safe.
they contacted me too with what sounds like the same story.
i've said to the guy who called that unless they could give me a fixed delivery date by next friday that i would be cancelling my order. he said that was fine.
although - yet again the phone number that called me was withheld. so yes i'm still a bit unsure, but having spoken to my credit card company, nothing has actually been drawn from the card yet, and they also said that they've never had problems with nochex either. he also said that they ahd mechanisms in place to recover monies should they need to. a few things that made me fell happier about waiting one more week.

i must say, this whole thing isnt a great advert for anyone, Zudirect or the cynics who are getting quite hystrical about it.
can we all calm down a bit...

Firstly let me apologise if I've come over hysterical in any way, I'll stay calm and wait to hear if these PSPs turn up, although a contact number for the company would be nice.

PSP Base packs from sendit are £137.89 Delivered which is a good price HERE

Geting hold of one with 1.5 firmware already installed is not essential these days as my previous post. As long as it's not 2.8 your ok.

to be fair they've said that the tpyical retail price is £210, probably to make their £150 price look a good reduction.
you can get it most places for £150, so no it's not that cheap

    sorry
I searched for weeks and never seen the value pack for any less than £169 and most were £180ish so where were all the sites giving it at £150
