My wife said this morning that she wants it to get cold here to kill some of the warm viruses! i will take my chances i think after hearing about flu and norovirus--my parents are always thick with cold when i call them!!--i think my wife is 'ill' lol

Woke up early after sleeping in my own bed - how wonderful was that? Kids Dad and DD have left to go and get the last of the food shopping. I have lots of bits to get wrapped and must somehow get the toilets cleaned without being seen otherwise I will be in trouble for getting out of bed :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Kids hyper about their mini Xmas party this morning, no pressure on me then :eek:
Still hardly done any housework and I am not spending all Xmas eve cleaning so will do the bear minimum

No idea what's for tea not thought that far ahead

Good morning folks ,very cold and chilly here in Kent and more snow forecast,as if we hadn't had enough.Well all the presents are wrapped and cards given out and I took the sausage meat out of the freezer this morning and put into the fridge for making sausage rolls tomorrow.So today all I have to do is a bit of ironing and a good clean around the house,bathroom,sitting room,ect then everything is done .No shopping to buy at all this side of the New year as I am off to my Dds tomorrow afternoon and then will be shuttling backwards and forwards between the two of them for the next week.only popping back to make sure the house is o.k. and not too cold.
My sis-in-law from faversham popped in yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours which was nice.I spoke to my brother in France and he seems to be progressing well and recovering o.k. .He is a rotten patient ,like me he hates just sitting around and is normally very active and because of his op he is finding that he can't do as much as he used to at the moment .I told him he will get better but it will take time .he's nearly 70 and has been very active all of his life and is finding enforced rest a bit of a pain.but the alternative could have been so much worse really.I am cross that none of his children have been to see him.I know his DDs have children, but his son is single and lives alone and it wouldn't have been too tough to get down to see him. Now of course with the bad weather its nigh on impossible.Still hopefully they phone him now and again.
My DD has an interview lined up for the 4th January which is good and another one in the pipeline.She is a good lass and won't let losing her job knock her back she spent most of Tuesday online sending out her CVs.
Right well I'm off to make myself some porridge to warm me up, then to get stuck into the ironing,I can watch a bit of catch up t.v. at the same time .I hope everyone has a good day and the ones who have the dreaded lurgy get over it before Saturday .

OH treated us to a takeaway last night , and has been up all night with the runs:(:(Hope he's ok for later, as we are going round to my Mum's for a bit of a do:T:T
Haven't got any cooking to do for Xmas, and am taking a dodgy looking nut roast for Xmas dinner, just cba this year:cool::cool:
Am going to ASDA later for booze n last minute bits, dreading it as Morrisons was mental yest:eek::eek:OH got trolley rage:rotfl::rotfl:

Going to get the last bits today (salad, milk, eggs, cream, fruit and veg etc) And then plan to get cracking on some things to save doing them tomorrow.
I am pre-roasting the potatoes and putting them in the freezer with the rest of the prepared veg so Christmas day is going to be a doddle I am doing the yule log tomorrow.

DH was supposed to finish yesterday but they are installing a new alarm system so he has to work until they finish tomorrow. Not pleased that he has had to give up 3 days of his holiday - even though he can have it in the New year.

Well I am off to get ready for shopping keep warm and safe all x

DD is in town with DG who has a cold poor thing. She's all bunged up, and being only 8 months old can't understand why!

Got our turkey and pork this morning. Ordered a 10lb one thinking there would be eight of us, now down to four, so I'll have leftovers till March!:rotfl:

Dad seems to be okay now in his Nursing home. Finally sold his flat and got the money through, now having to clear his debts for him. Had a bit of a sticky moment last week when he was getting stroppy over the fact that he had no whiskey. (Makes him aggressive) he's finally agreed to have brandy instead.:o

Anyway, won't be on tomorrow, so once again:xmassign::snow_grin

Cold here this morning.

Well i overslept this morning. When i got up the twins had eaten and and my wife had dressed them. They were on there way out the house to my wifes moms and dads for the day. My wife has gone to work but she will be home for lunch time.

Lunch today will be homemade soup. not sure which one yet just depends what ever i get out of the frezzer.

Im off out in a bit to the local high street. I need to get my wife a card from myself and also from the twins.

After lunch my wife and i are offto the local shopping cententer. WE need a few more bits and a couple of more gifts for christmas and we also need to go into a supermarket as all local internet dels for this week were booked up well over a week ago from all supermekets.:mad:

Im npot sure what we are having for dinner tonight yet.

My cold feels a bit better this morning so im pleased about that.

Polly- glad youre doing ok-take it easy.

Molly-don't you dare clean the toilets-but I'm really pleased you're home.
Wmf- thats what our hound does,starts the night next to me,then goes down onto the settee.He snores worse than DH though,so don't mind,and its leather so can easily wipe it down.

I hope poorlies are on the mend.
My plans for the day are to do the veg,and roasties and pop in freezer.I've got my ex SisIL coming soon to drop off pressies,then I'll carry on.Floors done downstairs,just need to hoover the stairs and our room.and wipe kitchen cupboard fronts down.The turkey is defrosting in the utility room,going to cook it tomorrow.
Right,I shall get on.Have good days all.x

morning all, i finally started wrappinglast night so i have all the rellys done just need 2 do my own kids now might do them tonight, were off to a family do tonight and were getting chinese so i only have to cook for the boys aswell shud be a nice relaxing day today hope your all well

oh btw i havent spent much on xmas either and have set a budget of £250 for next year i tend to do it during the year so get stuff cheaper, oh and i don't ahve 2 buy xmas dinner either
