Its freezing cold here too elysia too, I'm in Nth Lincolnshire by the Humber Bridge. No matter how many heaters I put on it still feels cold - think its this house - its old and roomy and cold!

I'm sort of looking forward to doing this for next year but just a little worried that I won't be able to keep up with you all. I'll try my best though!

Savvy - that sounds like a brilliant plan. I'll do that tomorrow. Xmassy music, mince pie and some hot chocolate and go for it. :)

Well done on getting your assignments done - you must be so relieved. Well done on your bargains. I had an M&S £10 code, but stupid me threw it in the pile to be shredded, and OH did it yesterday. :(

Sorry to hear about OH. How has he done that?

Tooti - You'll be fine, honestly. You don't have to pop in all day long like I do. Just keep us informed how you are doing, and if you're worried about anything, or unsure, we can help. :) We can even give you a kick up the backside when you're slacking. Challlenges are on the first of the month (but not December). At the moment we are just aiming to earn £2.50 per day - it's really acheiveable - but if you don't, put a £1 fine in a pot. It will all go to Christmas or January sales. :)

Michelle - come and chat to us. You've been hiding lately. We can give you a motivational talk, and you'll feel better then. ;)

Chel - thanks so much honey. Aren't you lovely? :)

If you're sure you won't need it at all, I'll be very grateful. Enjoy your party. :)

  • I didn't even know we did monthly challenges, what do they usually consist of?

  • Hello. Sorry Elysia. I am still lurking more than posting, as much because I have had a lot to do as anything else.

I am feeling so unmotivated at the moment. I keep pushing myself, but it is really hard this week. I'm tired from pushing hard, and probably do just need a big break from it all, but I can't as I am relying on the money from it for sorting out some of Christmas.

I'm thinking longer term, I have spent a good amount of time just sitting bashing away at the computer this year, and for the reward is it entirely worth it? I need to sort myself out in the new year and not force myself to do it all day. I'm sure I could do nearly as well with some time out. I probably just need a really early night to be honest, then I might feel more chirpy and less burnt out.

The parcel did arrive this afternoon, thank you so much. DS1 is sat wearing it now and has been since he got in from school, so I think it is a hit, even though he doesn't really know who the stig is. It is really kind of you to send it us.

savvy well done on getting your assignment sorted. It must feel good to be up to date again for the rest of the year.

Lately, like I said before, it's just to earn £2.50 a day. Sometimes it might be to earn £50 by selling stuff on ebay or a carboot, or it could be write 10 reviews. It's not set in stone that you have to do them - it's just a little something to keep the motivation going.

Michelle - Isn't it hard to find a balance? You feel like you ought to do it, but can't be bothered. :(

Don't worryabout keeping up mrs tooti frutti, once you get your head around the sites and how they work it's quite easy to do bits here and there, keeping the momentum can sometimes be a bit tricky but that's what we are here for, if you feel a little demotivated get chatting and we all help and encourage each other. It does help and being part of the chat does help. This is the first year I have stuck with posting (wasn't as easy when dd was younger) and have made an amazing amount, the year before I made around £50 which went on a highchair. The ladies (and gentleman) here are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of speaking to onlne and we all help whether it's with quetions, if you need someone to talk to after a bad (or good) day or even sharing bargains. Welcome on board and I am sure you will do brilliantly.

I used mine Elysia but I should have another two codes when I go to collect my orders so if you want one or anyone else I would be happy to pass them on. My order from yesterday is due 30th Nov though. Mince pies has reminded me, pick up icing sugar and mincemeat, we have the pastry in the freezer so I best make use of it! OH said it was eating toast, he had told the dentist that the tooth was cracked about 6 months ago but was told it wasn't. Guess the dentist was wrong. He's not in pain now which is a good sign but I can't help feeling it could have been avoided by a good dentist, this isn't welcomed this close to Christmas.

Enjoy the party Chel, and what a lovely thing to do :)

Michelle, I know what you mean, I have only set aside a small amount of time to moneymaking recently and the £2.50 target is good as I tend to stop when I get there. You do work very hard and sometimes it can be alot of work for little pay, which is why I am giving a rest with the reviewing. There probably is a good balance and it's working out how much you want to make and see how best to get ther with as little time. My time this year has been warranted by the amount I made, but the late nights probably not.

  • I'm treating it like a more than full time job, and it is starting to drive me mad. I think I might make myself a little timetable and allow myself x amount of time here, y amount of time there, and then if is not done, then tough. I think I have let it get a bit out of control, and not really fully to our benefit. I don't want to give it all up, but I definitely need to try to use my time wisely.
